Yep, that's one less room we will need at the Twilight Home for average footballers.

Short term for 1 or 2 seasons, Neville would of been useful. That said not too gutted he won't be joining Spurs.

Joe Cole is the one that worries me. An overrated show pony if ever there was one.

Where would he play and improve our team? off the pitch he seems to be a good leader and role model but we can't just sign a player on that basis.

I actually agree with Luke here, he's the sort of guy we could have around to play in all the positions Luke said. I'd be happy to buy Neville instead of Parker.

Given a choice of currently available players with Manure associations, I would lean more towards O'Shea.

I understand but how many games would he realistically play for us. Midfield wise we already have enough and i'd pick Sandro, Huddlestone and WP ahead of Neville. At left back and right back we have plenty of cover as well and with the 25 man rule I think Neville would take a spot needed elsewhere.

I can't find anything to say he will go to Arsenal. A few mentions of plots, but then Chelsea are still plotting to steal Luka.

Well put. I think he'd also link up well with Lennon for some reason, like his brother did with Beckham.

Alan Hutton would need to be sold though mind.

Neville's still a good player and he's vastly experienced, but his best days are behind him and we've already got much better options in every one of his positions.
If we do sign Parker, then we'll have plenty to pick from in the middle, even if Palacios and Jenas join O'Hara in the departures lounge at WHL.
Corluka, Walker and even Hutton are all better right-backs, though I expect the Scotsman to leave.

There's something to be said for his leadership skills and his professionalism, but that would be tested by a lack of starts, in my opinion.
He'll do a great job at Everton, but while I can see the sense in such a signing, I think that we'd be better off looking elsewhere.

Can you imagine anybody who finished above us last season buying Neville? Me either. How about Stoke, or Bolton or Fulham? Me too. His best days are behind him, we need players whose best days are now or are yet to come.

    THAT is why I am
