When I first heard it I thought about us. The thing is, is he worth the amount of wages for the amount of games he'll play? I'm not sure.

He wouldn't get in our team as it is, never mind when we strengthen in the summer

If we go up I'm fairly certain the 3-5-2 will be ditched and should we have mr Neville he would be preferred to dudge.

Though I agree he wouldn't oust Brady in this formation.

That rather depends on who is available, Jizz.

He is exactly what we need right now and would certainly be what we would need if we went up.

Must say, though, I do like the idea of Slumberland going down and us pinching Cattermole.

He's 36 now. Would be on silly wages. No. Just no.

You're thinking of him at LB even though he's right-footed and has played more as a defensive CM than anywhere else in recent years (then RB, then LB)? Interesting...

Yeah, he'd get in your team. But you aren't as good as us. So that makes perfect sense.

He wouldn't get in ahead of Dudgeon, certainly not Brady. He'd be about as useful a WB as an asthmatic ant with some heavy shopping.

Indeed he may get into our team, we need a bit of bite in the middle of the park, we have been out mucled against the teams that like to bully.

If we go up, we need a bit of experience, but at 36, I think it's too late.

    And he's a cock.

He filled in their for Man Utd and only ever played their for England (from memory) but barely ever plays their for Everton, he'd never get a game with Baines knocking about.

he would be ideal IMO .. and for the guy who said he played LB for everton ... ever heard of Leighton Baines ? .... he is a CM now and a holding one at that ... just what we require

He has played there at times over the years, but very rarely in recent years. He's mainly played as a tough holding midfielder, and has been very good there. When required he has also played in his original RB position quite a bit.

I remember him in his RB position against us at the KC. Peter Halmosi made him look **** for 45 minutes.

I'd bring him in and give him the captaincy, not many players available to us with his prem experience. Would be excellent as a holding mid and would mean we wouldn't need Koren wasting a space on the pitch!
