Everton captain Phil Neville is ready to sign a new contract that will keep him at Goodison Park for the rest of his career. The ex-England international still has 12 months left on his current terms and is on the verge of penning an extension that would tie him to the Toffees for a further two years. Neville, aged 34, was a target for Tottenham in the January transfer window and, at that time, seemed tempted by the prospect of Champions League football. But he will now sign a new deal that will probably be his last playing contract. The left-back-cum-midfielder will be 36 when the new deal expires.
