So football "expert" Phil McNulty has predicted a third place finish for United. Would you say this is a fair assessment for United?
Based on McNulty's past prediction history (Liverpool to win the league in 09/10, phnarr phnarr) I would say it's just about guaranteed we won't finish 3rd. Higher maybe, lower probably, but definitely not third. He predicted us to come third last season as well. And second the year before that, and first in 11/12. The only prediction he ever gets right is Arsenal to come 4th, and that's hardly a work of genius. Unlucky for you lads - he's just predicted you to win the league. For the second year in a row...
We don't need Phil 'take a wild punt' McNulty to help us finish in the top four. We have Spurs finding new and inventive ways to **** it up each season for that
Matth jinxed us last season too, let's hope for King Shergar's reverse jinx. United's 606 'fans' reverse-jinxing of Costa has worked so far
Sounds interesting care to explain or link? As long as Matth doesn't suddenly support Liverpool I know we won't be jinxed. But Chelsae, Swansea and Man Utd - have a big problem (MATTH)
Liverpool 'fans' jinx their own club, they don't need Matth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUgaHhCfl3k
Are people suggesting Matth is fickle? Now that's harsh. I remember him constantly starting new threads supporting Moyes and saying he needed more time etc. In fact I remember him being fully behind Moyes for all of about 3 weeks. That's how much of a die hard yoo-nited fan he is
I would say its a big possibility, Liverpool will be out the top 4, so for me 1st and 2nd will be contested by Chelsea and City, with 3rd and 4th contested by Arsenal and United. thats just my opinion.
Tough task. I think we will do well to get 4th which i think is the objective. The top 3 have to be the chavs, City and Arsenal.
Dan Roan's prediction for the PL is: "1. Liverpool, 2. Chelsea, 3. Man City, 4. Arsenal" see: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/28624995 entry at 11:11
Dan Roan BBC Sport #PLPredictions Posted at 11:11 "1. Liverpool, 2. Chelsea, 3. Man City, 4. Arsenal, Bottom three: Southampton, Burnley, Leicester. "Most people will understandably write Liverpool off having lost their best player & with the added burden of Europe again. But last season was no fluke. The runners-up have reinvested the Suarez cash wisely, and for the first time in years have proper strength in depth and a solid defence. "In Sterling, Coutinho and Sturridge they also possess the kind of young, attacking talent that will only improve, and which can compensate for the departure of their former talisman. Liverpool can go one better than last year, and be the surprise champions the premier league so desperately needs. There will be life after Luis, just you watch."
