I think its high time Fergie knows Phil Jones is not a midfielder and should stop playing him there. The only game he played well in midfield was against Everton where he was asked to follow Fellaini. We have not played well in any game Jones played as a midfielder. I know he is a strong player, a beast but he is a defender and must be played as a defender. He lacks all the skills required from a midfielder. His movement off the ball is poor, passing skill is abysmal, shooting skill is poor.. so how come the gafa plays him in midfield? He is the one disrupting the midfield each time we play him there. Just take a look at all the games he played in midfield... we hardly play well because he doesn't link up well with the strikers, he just runs around like a headless chicken making our midfield, hence defense vulnerable. Rooney too has been playing out of position lately and it has not been helping him. Pls Fergie, buy midfielders so our players an play in their position.

  3. Obviously, you have seen more of Jones than me but from what I've seen of him, he is better in CM than CB. Maybe play him at RB? Of course, playing FB has greater demands on the body and he has had his fair share of injury problems.

If it was the other way round and it was Rafael that was laughing on the floor Im sure Chelsea fans and would be dissapoined with it and most of us wouldn't have a care in the world, as it was a dire day all round for us I think we should just let it go.

Edit: And I was wrong in thinking Ramires fouled Rooney, seeing it again he clearly gets the ball

You're right, you've obviously seen very little of Jones playing association football. He has shown the potential to be an outstanding centre half. He's a better right back than a central midfielder.

He worries me at right back NOF, but then again Rafael worried me at his age. His best position is centre half but he does a good man marking job at defensive midfield, not sure who i would like to see as a future centre back pairing, Evans has been great this season, Jones looks like a natural and Smalling has shown deffinate potential too.
