Its quite sad that certain referees give you more hope than others.

If your not playing United it shouldnt matter as we are the ones who own the referees association right?

    Paranoia...

really looks like you are preparing excuses incase you lose.

Shouldnt matter who the ref is, should be down to the players to get the job done.

PMK, rather embarassing article, something Berbs would post on the United board but he would be tongue in cheek....actually, you probably are but some replies are certainly not.

Refs are human so all hit & miss. Only refs I hate are the ones who think they're at level billing with the players. These are dangerous; it's why I dislike Webb (not due to the often JOKED about united bias UIR) he thinks he's important in the scheme of things.

Anyway; my belief is a ref has a good game (players allowing) if he doesn't produce a card in the first half an hour.

If this happens it will be a good final.

The whole point of discussing it is tongue in cheek, whether its Dowd,Webb or whoever we all have our favourite referees.

weren't saying any of that when Chelsea won at OT with an offside goal

Excuses, United have the best one ever, i mean worst one ever

"we could not see each other in those jerseys" an excuse for United to release their 4th kit that season was it? or an excuse for getting hammered by Southhampton?

Haha that was an awful excuse, probably up there with the worst ever.

Actually I was discussing that game not long back ( chelsea win at OT ) and said both sides got luck. Still......drogba WAS OFFSIDE ****

I know, like.. the kneck of an official giving a decision for an opponent at OT, WTF is going on?! That dog just ain't gonna hunt.

Seriously though, Dowd can be as good as bad people are just still remembering the carra nani incident and therefor Dowd is branded as not on United's books or anti lfc

Webb at the bridge this season, what did you make of his performance? am curious how you saw it

He certainly got the first penalty right, the second one is debatable but most clubs fans would say it was a good decision. Rivals may disagree though.

neither were pens for me, the second cannnot be debatable when Wellbeck kicked Ivanovic's foot, cant see how that is debatable.

There should have been 2 pens, one for ye and one for chelsea, neither were given just two for your lot from a ref who otherwise is totally afraid of making big decisions, like clear karate kicks for example, my point is he is always Not giving big decisions unless one of your forwards gets tapped, Wellback Berba too who took another step and then went down:) He doesn't hesitate when he's reffing United thats why I have no time for the guy

Evra moves infront of Sturridge who comes charging into the back of him. To me thats a penalty in the modern game and 9 times out of 10 it will be given. Its soft in the sense nobody gets taken out.

The second again, while Welbeck did appear to trip himself you have got to ask questions of the defender. Such a dangerous thing to do and always a risk. Welbeck and Evra played for the penalties but there isnt much wrong with that, some people call it drawing the challenge and players have been praised for it many times over the years. Others call it cheating. Thats why its a debate.

All I know is a defender has to stay on his feet as long as possible, a tackle made when you are not 100% certain is always dangerous, if in doubt stay on your feet.

Webbs a ****ing awful referee btw, cannot see why people think he favours United. No team can really benefit form that mans inept ability as a referee. Hes ****ed us over before aswell, like every club.

are you kidding with e first, you can see evra at the last moment putting himself into the way of hte player, he moved towards the defender too to draw the foul, I could forgive the ref for not giving that

2nd, a decent ref would have waved it away.

Webb, or should I say 'Token' after his world cup final, Token is a joke, he is like the guy in the office always rushing around looking busy when really he spends his time whacking off in the 'Disabled' lavvy
