Just back from the friendly at Salford and had a wee chat with Mr Brown, one thing that came out of the conversation was that Phil Brown is going nowhere soon. He told me he was up for the challenge, and what a challenge it was proving to be,but that with a squad of young players keen and determined to see this through together any thing was possible. I for one believe him and I'm ready for the first game right now, BRING IT ON
Morning finneyfan.. Pleased that you was able to see last night's game at Salford, and thanks for posting your comments. Delighted that you found PB to be very approachable and there must be countless PNE fans who would have loved to ask him the questions you did. They would also have been delighted to hear the answers that he gave you as well. All positive stuff I must say and it is augers well for the future that PB feels as committed as he sounds. If he is up for the challenge then we PNE supporters should feel the same regardless of all the off the field problems and get behind him and the team, starting on Saturday. A new season and a fresh start with everything to play for so bring it on and let's rumble..
Finneyfan thought this link might be of interest to you and all the Northenders. A little article on PB and PNE's prospects for the coming season in Div 1, taken from the Buckinghamshire Advertiser. http://www.buckinghamshireadvertise.../league-one-lowdown-part-four-82398-29178066/ I hope the prediction turns into something like reality..
Keith Treacy a free don't think so. Plumber I know your retired but do you spend your days searching the internet to read Local paper websites from around the country?
Yes there are a couple of errors in the article maclad Treacy being just one....but you have to take into account that Buckinghamshire is more famous for the great train robbery than football.. Searching all day to read local paper websites ???? .. NO, in fact this little snippet was borrowed from the PNE on line site during one of my very rare sorties to keep my eye on what's going on there..
Cheers Plummy Not sure I share his optimism yet, though I reckon a play off place should be within our grasp.
Once PNE have their new signings sorted (still to sign) along with their current new signings and the team has settled and gelled as a unit, it will all happen.
