It would appear that the Preston fans are very disillusioned with tan man Phil Brown. They seem to have realised that he is tactically inept, has no plan a or b and continually changes his team. De ja vu seems to come to mind
Speaking of de ja vu; http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/103021-Grumblings-in-darkest-Lancashire....
One wonders how he ever turned a relegation fodder squad into the most successful Hull City team of over 100 years? Must have been luck! Strange, I don't remember 1000's of people calling him a clueless kunt at Wembley. Mind you I'm into my fortieth year supporting the club so maybe I suffer from the beginnings of dementia.
I think the majority of City fans do remember him for well he did, he'll forever be the first manager to take City into the top flight and nobody can take that away from him. The club were hardly on the high of PT's run when he took over, we were doomed for relegation to League 1 following Parkinson. To take us up in his first full season in charge was nothing short of amazing, to keep us up in his second was even better.
too true, even nigel couldnt handle being forever in his shadow, and had to jump before inevitably failing to emulate his achievement.
Brownie lost it so spectacularly that it tends to stick in the memory more than the great job he did for us before his ego swelled to the size of a hot-air balloon, unfortunately he lost it so badly that it looks like he'll never find it again as the Preston fans are finding out. City legend nonetheless
that is what makes browns achievements so great, and is often overlooked, not just the promotion and keeping us there 1st season, the fact 18 months earlier wed looked nailed on for league 1, some people remember things very differently to real life...
Just a shame that he lost the plot isn't it, because saving us from relegation and getting us up were massive achievements
