Interesting that Morgan got picked over Huth who I would have picked over him.

Exactly as expected, but i thought De Gea hasnt been great this year and Lloris better, but that and LB were the only real positions up for grabs.

Hmm not exactly surprising but I woulda had Lloris in above De Gea, Fuchs above Rose and Ozil in instead of Vardy (in a 5 man midfield) although it woulda been incredibly harsh on Vardy.

And resulted in a very negative formation! More ambition required, Josh!

Graeme Souness' team is basically Tottenham plus Mahrez and Kante ha! He hates Leicester and is deluded picking 9 Spurs players!

5 man midfield is only a negative formation if the players involved see it that way. In my opinion you get to commit more men forward.

Vardy has set an all time EPL consecutive scoring record ... if that can't get you in the team of the season there is something wrong <laugh>

Did anyone see Grame Souness' combined Leicester and Tottenham team. It was basically the whole Tottenham team with Kante and Mahrez in it

He is ****ing clueless and embarrasing

Its harsh I'll give ya that. But I still would want a 5 man midfield, Vardy loses out to Kane who I think has been better (and he has also scored more, also playing that system). Its the exact same reason Vardy won't start at the Euros imo.

... as I've said before ... it's all about opinions ... but addressing some of your points ...

... not sure how many of our games you have watched in full (I've seen every one) but Vardy has been consistently good with only a couple of games where he has not looked himself ... Kane in contrast took quite a few games to get into his stride ...

Kane has scored more? - only recently gone past Vardy's total and Kane takes all of Spurs penalties whereas Vardy only started taking ours after Riyad Mahrez had missed two on the bounce ... if you factored in all of penalties this season Vardy would have outscored Kane ...

Assists - add in the number of assists (direct ones not the Ozil passing two yards to Sanchez who then weaves into a scoring positions and scores type) and Vardy has been involved in far more goals than Harry Kane ...

He also isn't as dependent on chances being created ... give him the ball on the half way line with 2, sometimes 3 defenders to beat and he will still get a shot on goal ... Kane can't do that (although he has some wonderful attributes himself)

England - play a 5 man midfield and it is likely to be business as usual ... struggling to get beyond group stages ...

Harry leading the line on his own - like at the last U21s Euros which we were being vaunted as favourites for? ... didn't get out of group stages and Harry didn't score ...

Look at recent England form ... Harry scores a great goal against the Germans ... but who was the defender falling for his Cryuff turn? ... Mezut Ozil ... was Kane's goal better than Vardy's in the same game ... not for me ... Kane doesn't have the pace to get to that ball and if Aguero, Messi, Neymar or Ronaldo pulls off that flick the press box needs new supplies of Kleenex ... on to the assist bit ... Kane rarely assists ... Vardy against the Germans gives Dele Alli a doozer that he puts woefully over the bar ...

Vardy then scores against Holland ...another Johnny-On-The-Spot goal because defenders can't match his pace coming in on goal ...

When was the last time an England striker scored in consecutive games against 2 European power house teams?

Thankfully Woy has been watching quite a bit of Vards and it was noticeable that he leapt to his defence over the red card ...

Vardy is the X factor ... England all too often have nothing that is 'unpredictable'...

Finally, and if you'll forgive me for what might seem like inference ...Vardy is the victim of a lot of football snobbery from opposition fans ... he's a bit of a gutter snipe, character wise, and gets under people's skin ............... his original call up was met with hoots of derision ... most have gone very very quiet ... because he has proven himself beyond doubt ... not only has he led the Prem scoring charts for most of the season ... he's set a record for consistent goal scoring and his goal against Liverpool is a contender for goal of the season ...

He is more that deserving of his place in ANY team of the season IMHO, and that of his fellow players ... and I suspect the press / media too.

<laugh> I've obviously hurt your feelings here...

If I'm playing one up top its Kane all day. Historically I haven't been a massive fan of Kane, he's always worked hard which was nice to see but I've often thought he lacked that extra bit of technical ability. This season however I think he has improved dramatically on that front. He no longer just scores tap ins and headers from inside the box, his goal against Arsenal is one that comes to mind. He is also a bit more physical and a bit more traditional striker than Vardy and I still think you need a bit of that when playing up top on your own, although he has more in his locker than just that.

Don't get me wrong, Vardy would be my second choice striker and he has been brilliant this season. If two is played up top he is there, in my team though i chose a 5 man midfield. I guess I chose the team that i'd like to line up for me if I were a manager.

... fair post ... just one thing. .. Kane more physical? ... bigger perhaps ... pound for pound Vardy is IMHO the bravest of strikers in the league ... hard as nails ..
