please log in to view this image Cahill and Coutinho can count themselves a bit lucky. Aguero, Silva and Sigurdsson are notable absentees. Not sure which CB should be there instead of Cahill, though. Ashley Williams, maybe? Fonte? Seems Bertrand's peers rate him higher than Woy does.
Can only pick 11 and seems about right, only one I'dchallenge would be coutinho, agueros class but Kane and Costadone more for their teams this year, coutinho has 4 goals and 4 assists all season.....ppretty **** for someone IP for player of the season!
If this is the team the players pick then you can understand it, they aren't the brightest bunch generally, sometimes I look at the likes of our Big Tom and wonder if the lights are on completely. Fabregas should be in ahead of Coutinho, his assists and all round play have got Chelsea where they are, even if he has gone flat recently a bit
Halfway through the season I'd have had both Tadic and Fabregas in there. Not so sure now, though - they've both been very quiet.
Meanwhile, Championship player of the year Patrick Bamford hasn't made the PFA team. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32473770
The top three in that Football League Awards list were Bamford, Murphy and then Deeney. Only two of them could make the PFA team. Murphy is the top scorer, followed by Deeney, with Bamford well behind.
Erm... play 4-3-3? Even then, how can you vote someone best player and not consider him good enough for best team? Ridiculous.
It's bad enough that Curtis Davies has to put up now with being left out for City but this as well is just too much.
Different votes, different awards. Bamford won the Football League award - nothing to do with the PFA.
