POTY: 1. Bale, 2. Suarez, 3. RVP, 4. Mata, 5. Cazorla.... so the same :D

    YPOTY: 1. Rafael, 2. Hazard, 3. Benteke, 4. Lukkaku, 5. Oscar

    Team of the year:

    Mignolet
    Rafael, Williams, Vertonghen, Baines

Taking a few liberties with the line up there, admittedly <whistle>

I'm going to guess that nobody here's going to go for this combination:
    POTY: Bale. YPOTY: Bale.

Isn't Bale too old for young player?

Nope. You have to be 23 or under at the start of the season and he's 23.

POTY: 1. RvP (don't forget what he did at the vital time) 2. Bale 3. Suarez 4. Carrick

YPOTY: 1. Bale 2. de Gea 3. Benteke 4. Lukaku

Rafael has done well going forward, but his defending is still patchy. A talented player, but a defensive full back? Erm.....

He's actually pretty good defensively, minus his momentary lapses of concentration. He'll play great for 89 minutes of the match. That other minute, he's most likely watching the man he should be marking score at the back post! <whistle>

POTY: Bale, but I think Saurez deserves it more than Bale does.

YPOTY: if Bale doesn't win POTY, he'll win this. This is a tough award to decide on. I think almost everyone that's been nominated has a good shot at winning.

Suarez in reality has very little chance of actually winning this. Most of the players he plays against probably despise him for his various antics on the pitch. Which is a shame, because to score the amount of goals he has for a side as average as that Liverpool team is some feat.

Apart from one player (Bale)....this has been a very uninspiring season as far as individual players go. In fact I'd go as far as and say that this has been uninspiring season full stop.

    Suarez by a country mile.

Young Player = Vertonghen or Bale. can't split them.

Funny the only people putting Bale ahead of Suarez are Spurs fans.

At least theres some Gunners and Chavs putting Suarez ahead of Bale which is a bit more neutral (although I'm sure Spurs fans would point to Gooners not voting for Bale and picking Suarez instead I imagine).

RVP has been ****e for the last 8-9 games now so he's played his way out of contention if the vote was today.

Luckily for him the votes were cast quite a while ago when he was still turning up.

Everyone knows Suarez deserves it for doing what he's done in the worst LFC team since the Souness/Evans era, but they'll let politics and other such non-footballing factors get in the way.

Whether he gets the plaudits he deserves or not, which he prob isn't arsed about anyway, although some haven't the balls to say it, he has been by far the stand-out performer this season, not just for all his goals and being top goalscorer and loads of assists, but for his all round play, awesome work-rate and his ability to never give up on his team and team-mates.

All this above is also why he'll leave our league in the Summer and we'll be much worse off for it too. Want to see all the worlds best players strutting their stuff in our league regardless who they play for.
