Bristol city have, at home, Found goals easy to come, Scoring 11 in 3 games but have not scored an away goal in the league so far this season, with two 1-0 defeats on the road they will be looking to gain there first away points of the season Peterborough A little something about them Full name Peterborough United Football Club Nickname(s) The Posh Founded 1934 Ground London Road Stadium Peterborough (capacity: 14,640) Chairman Darragh MacAnthony Manager Darren Ferguson 2011â12 The Championship, 18th Previous Results Burnley 5-2 Peterborough Birmingham 1-0 Peterborough Peterborough 1-2 Leeds Top 3 Goal Scorers Tomlin 3 Boyd 2 Taylor 2 please log in to view this image Possible Starting XI 01 Olejnik 03 Alcock 04 Brisley 19 Little 06 Bostwick 11 McCann 23 Frecklington 44 Mendez-Laing 08 Tomlin 09 Barnett 10 Boyd Bristol City Last 3 Results Bristol City 3-5 Blackburn Barnsley 1-0 Bristol City Bristol City 4-2 Cardiff Top 3 Goal Scorers Woolford 3 Baldock 2 Adomah 2 please log in to view this image Possible Starting XI 01 Heaton 02 Foster 04 Fontaine 06 Carey 17 Cunningham 11 Woolford 14 Skuse 15 Pearson 27 Adomah 09 Stead 18 Taylor Last Time We Met http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16995164 Peterborough United won for their first time in eight games as they comfortably beat Bristol City at London Road Shiny's Prediction 1-3 Come On You Redzzz
Yep changes I reckon JW or new defender for fonts and Davies and baldock up front. I have a feeling Del will not mess about,he has so many options avaliable to him. Score 3-1 to city baldock, pearson,Davies.
As Banksy said Fontaine won't be dropped to play Carey and Wilson, both right footed will leave the back exposed. Whether you like it or not Red Robin he will drop Carey first plus at Louis age I doubt very much he will be able to play 3 in a week.
One thing for sure it will be interesting to see what he does. As said fonts was the weak link yesterday, how you over come that del has a dilemma.
Fonts had a bad game but he is still the best central defender at the club, del knows this, but we need a new cb and bloody quick, a point is needed againt Boro at the very least
That is awful I'd expect it from a kid but not an adult Jesus Christ they should ban all non city or England if we is playing Cardiff football shirts in the home ends
This is a tough game to call in terms of the result, but it's a game that we must not lose. I cant decide between a score draw (1-1) or a City win (1-2) but I reckon we'll concede at least one......
Its a typical City season so far.....unpredictable results!...beat a promotion candidate in Cardiff, fail to get anything of Barnsley, conceed 2 in extra time on saturday......god only knows what will happen next!!! We have the fire power to destroy a team without a point thats for sure, but it is City we are talking about here, so I am going fo 1-1.....Baldock to score and cement a starting place for himself.
Same old problem except now we can score goals at home like there's no tomorrow but on the road we have yet to register a point or a goal. Looking at the season so far the posh should be a pushover but hold your horses for just a moment and look at our record at London Road. If my memory serves me correctly we haven't exactly set the scoresheet alive vs the posh in the past have we? With our current firepower I would expect this to be a blowout but don't mention that to either DM or DF because you may get your head ripped off in timely fashion. If we don't get all 3 points here then the doubters will come out in force and that's the last thing we need this early in the season after a relatively brighter start than in previous seasons. Still think our defence needs an overhaul and ask you what our options are after the season starting transfer window closed. Is the loan market still our only option and who would be available to bridge the short term, and possibly long term, deficiencies?
I think we will win our next two games & go into the Leeds game on a huge high......I'am an optimist, not a pessimist!!
MATCH FACTS Head-to-head • Bristol City lead by 16 wins to 13 against Peterborough, with five of their 34 league contests drawn. • Each club has scored 46 goals, although Peterborough completed the double over the Robins last season with an aggregate score of 5-1. • Bristol City are looking for a fifth win in six league trips to London Road. Peterborough United • Already on their worst ever start to a league season, Peterborough remain the only club in the Football League without a point. • An unequalled 12 goals have been conceded in five successive defeats, and an unequalled six Championship points have been thrown away from winning positions. • Darren Ferguson will send out his side in the hope of collecting the 100th win of his managerial career at the seventh attempt. Bristol City • The 14th-placed Robins are without a point and without a goal on the road. • Should they score three times at London Road, it would take their total away from home in second tier football to 1,000. • They are the highest home scorers in the Championship, with 11 goals in three outings, and Derek McInnes will want to see his side reproduce that scoring touch on their travels.
