Apologies if this has already been covered on another post.

I saw a post from someone saying their pitch has no underground heating, given the predicted snow / cold tomorrow, is their a deadline time when they have to postpone by?

I need to sort out tranin tickets /etc...

    Cheers

I assume they'll make a decision mid morning.

It was -10 this morning and tomorrow will see the brunt of the bad conditions ith blizzards and cold weather.

Even if it that isn't the case, they might call it off because it's too much of a risk to stand on the terrace.

Fair play if they can get it on.

BBC says that its going to light snow from 2pm Friday until Sunday morning. There is no deadline for when they can call the match off, heard Jeff Stelling on Soccer Saturday announcing matches called off at about 2:50pm in recent weeks, although these were lower league if that makes a difference.

I was driving to an away game a while back and they announced that a game between Yeovil and someone in the Lancashire are had been called off.

It was less than an hour before kick off, what a pisser that must have been.

Not a cat in hells chance of this game going ahead imo, London Road is the typical downtrodden division 3 ****hole that always falls foul to the annual winter postponements.

It'll be the final blow of a pretty dreadful week.

Train tickets and match tickets bought a couple of weeks ago.
    Non-refundable.

Can't see that match going ahead. :emoticon-0149-no:

No, Posh fans think it will take a miracle for it to go ahead too. At least it gives us a bit of time to get Elmohammady back and/or the other signings snorted out.

...... and if the game is postponed for later rescheduling perhaps we could raid the Posh strikers .They still have good scoring records even if they are down in the basement. They might be cheaper alternatives than paying out for Fraizer Campbell, especially if we have to beat an offer from Cardiff.

    Thanks lads.

Just checked their site on not 606 as well, sounds like Saturday may not happen - shame as I enjoy the trip up there.

    Keep warm in God's county!

I reckon the chances of it going ahead are somewhere between slim and none, and by this time tomorrow I expect slim to have skipped town.

I'd be surprised if they have electricity let alone under soil heating at London Road.

The place is a dump, it'll fall down before it's torn down.

Peterboro having No Undersoil heating will always be the first ground to suffer in the championship under severe winter weather. Even if the pitch is playable on saturday I bet the Elf n safety twits will call it off due to the surrounding areas.

It wont be a bad thing if the game is called off. Save it for a warmer night in April. Any delay will give City a chance to get any transfer business completed.

It'll never happen and every year they'll have games called off.

You're into the 4th round of the F.A. Cup, the last thing a promotion chasing side needs is to have to deal with the incompetence of a small club in this day and age with a backlog of fixtures

Oh well, better for us <ok>

I like it at Peterborough, I enjoyed it at our cup game at Brentford too, I rarely get the chance to go in a terrace nowadays.

Pompey is a step too far though, it looks like a terrace, but you're not allowed to stand in it. What a bunch of twats their stewards are.

Peterboro away end is brilliant - remember the 3-2 victory when Stu Elliott got two.

London Road is far from being a ****hole - they built a 'new' stand on the open side terrace about ten years or so ago - City were to have an exact replica of this on Kempton when Martin Fish (am I allowed to say his name) got funding from the Football Ground Trust only for Chris Needler to pull the plug on developing BP.

The away shed end reminds me a lot of the atmosphere generated by that at Millmoor.

I personally hope the game is off and whilst we will have another midweek fixture, hopefully it'll be in better weather and also give us breathing space what with Aluko and now Elmo problems.

That was a brilliant game and made all the better by watching it on the terraces right behind the goal

I agree it could be a blessing in disguise if it's off, play it when aluko and a new striker are available
