The bloke does my head in their must be other ex city players who could do a better job then this ex leeds ****.Humberside pay this twat to be our city expert but all he does is talk about anything other then the game been played.
Got a feeling I'll be a bit lonely with this view but anyway - being in Australia and not being able to watch City on the telly while they're not in the Premier league means relying on Radio Humberside to listen to the match commentary. I've come to look forward to listening to Burnsey and Swanny and although the bulk of the match description is from Burnsey of-course, I do kind of like (most of the time) how they bounce off eachother with good humour. I've been to the KC a few times so I can get a pretty good mental picture from their descriptions of the weather, the crowd, which way we're kicking etc. I'm sure some of the criticisms are reasonable and maybe they could find a better "expert commentator" but for better or worse Swanny as part of the commentary team does form part of the "voice of City" if you know what I mean, and all the way over here I mostly enjoy the listening experience I'm getting. Looking forward and pretty excited about the upcoming season. Come on the Tigers!
You think the most offensive word in the English language, one that denigrates women and the female cause, is appropriate to use on a man who you perceive not to be a particularly good broadcaster? All talented people have to put up with this sort of envious behind-their-back bitching, I suppose.
Particularly when, as in this case, they're not talented at all and they happen to be an ex-Leeds player. #likeisay
thanks to David Burns BA (Hons) for that comment, or indeed maybe "....the current Mrs Burns BA (Hons).....". I do laugh so much when ever I hear him utter those words. Jimmy Tarbuck eat your heart out!!!
he Annoyed me last night really didn't seem interested, thats the first preseason hes been too. i thought the were both abit unprofessional to be honest.
I think Burnsy is great, but Swanny is awful. I remember he was slagging Hobbs off loads last season and then when he got injured he started saying how good Hobbs is and how much we're going to miss him.
swan doesn't take himself too seriously. on this twitter page he describes himself with this line: Fat has-been footballer. Lets enjoy life x
Think he has done City games in the past! Actually, come to think of it, we could have been playing Scunny
