Ah, we've moved on since Thorney left, but still my favourite Stoke player, relive Thorney's best moments here.

Just to nget it out of the way, his worst moment for me was when we were playing Liverpool; 0-0 and he goes round their keeper only to hit the post of an empty net. We then went on to lose 8-0 :(

Now nothing but positiveness for the rest of this topic :D

Thorney was my favourite player too, I started going to Stoke matches not long after he signed (about 98 I think. . .)
Can't remember harldy any other players from back then, apart from Kavanagh, who I used to like, until he ditched us for Cardiff.

stein was excellent, but it was bertie biggins, that allowed steino to score the goals, bertie was a fantastic footballer with a brain & a vision for a pass, better than Teddy Sheringham, if you Stoke fans can remember, everything went through bertie, what a partnership that was.
