Right then the other bit is done and dusted, well almost anyway with anything else not likely to go wrong so on to the next subject still outstanding. I see it has been announced that our good friend who came for a match and stayed is indeed staying further and has been announced as our new Chairman. Now it is likely that a lot of people will be saying he is like the friend that turned up and now won't go home even though he is not exactly being made welcome. After all that has gone on and all of the comments, mostly negative there has been about this man it seems we are going to be stuck with him. It is said that James Brent was aware of what was being said on football websites about all things Argyle. If that is fact then he cannot surely be unaware of public opinion. If he has read the comments then is this going to be a misjudgement on his part.

For me I am not that bothered one way or the other. We need a Chairman who knows football and he is here. I cannot believe that Brent has not done his homework on everyone and knows of the reputation. I also cannot believe that he will not keep a real eye on him and ensure there is no dodgy dealings or sniff of them. Would we get anyone else at this time to replace him anyway? I have my doubts on that score so perhaps it is the best of a bad job. I would rather an Argyle without him if I'm honest but can live with him being here if that is the only choice.

Hi sensible........just found your new thread.

As Director of Football Ridsdale will be only involved in one area of the Clubs life..........an area that he has good experience in.....so be it.

He isn't Managing Director of PAFC.........and he hasn't bought the Club for a pound...........but he has got contacts and he is quite high profile in the market place in the football world.

James Brent has not just become a successful businessman by chance........he knows what he is doing........so let him get on with restructioning PAFC and I feel sure he will bring in various staff and players to help the cause.

PS..........Gat-Po don't worry and enjoy the party in the Pilgrimage to night..........see we get things soughted while Mrs LaLa is away.

Good evening gentlemen, I'm not happy that Dickdale is still around ... I don't think Brent is a fool so I will bow to his judgement for the time being and besides you can't have all you want in one go lol

Ridsdale is only on a temp contract until May. I dont think he would want to work for Brent after that but his contacts would be useful for the next 7 months anyway.

A very unwelcome start to the new regime - wtf does a League 2 side need with a Director of Football?

Maybe it's some sort of earn-out, Ridsdale doesn't rock the boat with the creditors & instead gets paid for 7 months of doing not a lot.

    Sorry, is that too cynical?

Distant, what does it need with a bloke like Ridsdale. He needs to be moving on. What a waste of more ****ing money. He can't direct traffic!

We would be better off with somebody who could direct a football first. boom boom!!!! Can't see it being a marriage that will last long personally.
