A great gentleman, unselfish and has done everything he possibly can for the cause. Taking everything into consideration Peter Reid has done most things very well in redicules circumstances against the odds at all times, and if he was judged only on his off field achievements he would be here a hundred years. But a manager is surely judged for the teams achievements on the pitch and the ability to inspire the players to success even in hard circumstances. He has run out of time........the results in a season and a bit have been abysmal.......ok there have been off field events that no manager should have to face. He has not been able to inspire in any way the performance on the pitch.........these players should with decent coaching be at least in mid- table in this basement division. Peter Ridsdale hated before by many will certainly have not made any new fans by sacking Reid. At the end of the day PAFC is more important than anyone person.........and it is a brave decision to sack such a likeable person as Reid.......but I feel it was enevitable that it was going to happen sooner than later......if on the field results did not improve. So a shocking situation on top of everything else that is at present happening..........but I feel the right one.
With all the crap going on behind the scenes, no wages and the players available to him, its no wonder we are where we are. Don't get me wrong I am not blaming players, it is just some of them are so young. Someone on pasoti was saying Reid had lost the dressing room. The only one I think he could have 'lost' was walton, a twat who is a legend in his own mind. Good luck for the future with everything you do, Mr Reid. A true gent. F*** you Risdale!
