I thought it was either an act of amazing diplomacy, or indeed hiding the frustrating truth as Nick Barmby managed to rush over the fact that Gulasci appears to have a 'long term' injury and would be going back to Liverpool in an interview post match after Burnley. Did anyone believe him? So now the question is: "Who is going to come in?"
from whats been said Gulacsi has gone back to Liverpool for scans and assessments. without wishing to be rotten this injury maywell be a blessing for hull city.
and you think there is an injury? if yes, i have some prime building land at sunk island i d like to sell you!!!!!!!!
Certain people on the club's payroll don't think he is having any scan at all... Decent source told me. Got to save the guy some face, though. The injury is more his ars@ falling out, apparently!
If Barmby and Walsh don't rate him, and 99% of fans would rather he never played for the club again. Is it really fair on the young chap to keep him at the club.
sadly, he's not up to it.. his shot stopping is OK but I think what he lacks most is communication.. the goal conceded vs Burnley being the final straw..
We paid a loan fee for him and couldn't get them to take him back after the Leeds game, he was helped by the fact that Nick is not Basso's biggest fan, but I think he's had it now.
OLM, somebbody has posted on the transfer rumours site that we may have shown an interest in Peterboroughs keeper, may even be a swap deal, is there anything in this.??
on reading it again, the poster suggests that a £1m deal, either us or southampton., was he a viable option at some point.??
Not been impressed with Gulasci at all - don't think he'll be missed too much - maybe he will develop into a good keeper in 2 or 3 years time?
I've seen him linked with a move to Saints several times, he's a good keeper and they're rumoured to be willing to spend seven figures on him, that being the case, I expect he'll end up there. Assuming that either Gulacsi, Basso or Oxley can make the bench in the not too distant, I doubt we will bring in another keeper. I have been told of another keeper that we've looked at on a permanent, I can't see anything happening in the short term, not now Mannone has come in, but he'd be a brilliant long term addition.
The Harper deal is off, Mannone has been signed instead of him. There is whisper that our bid for the winger has been accepted, but I haven't managed to get it confirmed yet, as soon as I do, I'll let you know.
