Again linked with PC again via an article in the Mirror........
Still think he can do a job and score goals, would have him back and also get one more striker as well to support and help Austin.....
BZ and AJ just don't cut the mustard........... !

Think I would prefer to have AJ over crouch

Used to have a high opinion on Crouch but not any longer. I am not convinced he is what we need even in this division.

I've always had a high opinion of Crouch and think he was discarded by England too soon. I don't think he would be right us now though, unless it was a loan until the end of the season.

Not for me. Simply doesn't score enough goals. A very limited player IMO

32yo and on massive wages, perfect for us.

A loan only please, a fee and 2+ years would be madness and shown we have learnt nothing.

I would argue that scoring goals has never been his game.

Put him with upfront with Autin. I reckon he would get loads of goals alongside Crouch.

Sound observation. Crouch has always been worth a punt by any manager on the basis of his hold up and knock down play. He's always been reasonably accurate when he has a clear shot or header at goal. I think as a loan signing, he could just be what we need to stumble over the line.

Agree with Stroller and Flyer - loan only.

Would mean we'd need to play 442 to get any value from him and it would give Austin something to work with.

Crouch seems to be starting though so I remain highly sceptical.

I like Crouchy, good pro and would give all for QPR, however, like most would only be sensible as a loan IF non of the other ´targets´ are gettable (is that a word?), would much prefer someone like Rhodes, expensive yes but proven at this level and could make the step-up to EPL. Rhodes for me would also make AKCJ´s smug visits to our board less frequent. As for Crouch.....last minute loan deal, nothing else.

Yeah he was so lucky to be born in UK. In other leagues if you're a striker you must score goals, knocking ball from your chest for other teammates would get him nowhere.

But 4-4-2 in the EPL was a perfect fit for him. Lucky lucky guy

Yorkshire - you've have hit the nail on the head, we need to stumble over the line and if Crouch scores 4 or 5 goals to do this in conjuncion with others - thats good enough for me. We must at all costs avoid the lottery that is the play offs..........
Top two is a must and we know Leicester and Burnley are flying with Notts Forest, Reading and Derby coming up on the rails............
Simple - Goals win games - we are proving to be tight at the back - So Harry and TF - Two more strikers please.............

Seems to not be in keeping with what TF was stating on LCI.

I do like him though and I agree with AKCJ. Crouch would nod down many tap ins for Charlie.

Sign him up just to get his misses at Loftus Road. Shame about that scouse accent though.

So if we are going to get crouch then when belfodil comes in & ntep comes in & poss rhodes comes in we will have a good bench, if i had to pick one of those four it will be Rhodes & then Ntep.

Given Crouch's age, the likely transfer fee and his wages, I 'd much rather go for Rhodes who has a very impressive scoring pedigree, albeit in the lower leagues.
