Why oh why, do some on here take it as a personal attack, when anyone questions their pet players?

Yet these same posters feel it is ok for them to have a go at players they don't rate.

Once again having sly digs at posters who disagree with them is becoming the norm.
If you disagree with someone stand your ground and argue your corner.
If you can't do that without being snide don't ****ing comment!

So am I mate very content, under Bruce I wasn't though.
But then if we questioned Bruce we were bad supporters!
Even when we win and play well, I still pick faults in things that happen during the game.
It's just my nature.
And it shouldn't upset people as much as it does.
Yet some on here would say we shouldn't be having a go at players and just be pleased with a win.

We can only get better and improve as a team if the players who cause these problems are moved out.

IMHO there are one or two players who cause us problems on a regular basis.
 
Bruce seems ages ago now. I know I foolishly backed almost till the end and I think some of that was me wishing he would prove the doubters wrong. Unfortunately, he didn't.
As for our present team, for me we have three untouchables..Sess, Bardo and Catts. After them we have players who are great on their day but can be hit and miss. Then we have Ji...I'd ship him out today.

Honestly mate the Bruce bit wasn't aimed at you. <ok>

It's just pretty close to what is happening with pet players.
****, I have took some stick over the years for my not seeing in Ricco what others seem to.
The Ricco lovers take it as a personal attack on themselves if anyone dares to question him.
It's getting the same with Ming.

The thing was with Bruce if we played horribly and were lucky to win.
Even mentioning how bad we were, or Bruce's lack of tactical nous, brought down a load of abuse on any dissenter.
I loved being told to **** off and support another team because I didn't rate Bruce. :)
And I had unrealistic expectations.
My only expectations of SAFC are a comfortable Prem team anything else is just a bonus.
 
i think its more to do with how strong people are with there comments. Its ok to question a players ability or a performance but when sudenley a player has one bad game people come out with coments like he is a disgrace, should never wear the shirt again, is an awful player. Then next game he plays well and its all ok now. sometimes i just feel like saying calm down dear calm down.

Sunderland is right... but maybe because of the pet name?
 
What happens is when you hit some form and start playing well, you over analyse when you eventually lose. It is not delusion or anything negative but you tend to make a scapegoat out of someone for your failings. Passionate people will voice their opinions passionately which is why they come across strongly.

Not a dig at all but Why do you care ?
You don't know these people whoever they may be, so who cares ?
 
I love anything that starts "why oh why" me. Great post MR, made me smile. Know what you're saying, I guess folk have favourite players and most of us are biased, or have a certain perception that is different, so will more easily forgive and not see the weaknesses of some players. Good we don't agree and reckon that having a subjective opinion is what makes us human you know. Anyhow talking mince so off to make a brew. Any tips for tonight?

I fail to understand why some players are attacked on here as not being up to standard or to put it another way ****e.

Players such as Ricco, Bendtner, Elmo are the main ones mentioned but most weeks, except when injured, they are picked if not for the starting XI at least as a sub. There can only be one of two reasons for that either they are not as bad as people on here make them out to be or, because MON keeps picking them, he is a bad judge of a professional footballer. I know which one I think it is.
 
If players play well they get praise if they play ****e (as Tuesday) then they get grief simple as that MR, well for me anyway. People make their minds up about players when they come to us, I didn't rate O'Shea or Brown or Bendtner for that matter gladly I've been proved wrong about Brown. As for the other two make your own minds up mine is.
