Just looked at our up coming fixture list and even with any potential new signings we could well be without a premier league win until October......
we could be without a win till the end of the season, but we could aswell win our next 3. at etihad in may we were 2-1 up til 92min, against chelsea we won 1-0 last season and spurs aren't doing too well...
The more relevant issue here is that we struggled to get one point from six in our opening two games both of which fell in the 'must-win' category for our level of club. Anything from the next three games will be a bonus but its these league-within-a-league games that we really need to attend to. That's where it went pear shaped last season.
We could but this team will get better. I thought Nelson and Ali made a massive difference to the balance last night. We have a good squad and if we nab a few more players, we'll kick on in October. Short term pain for long term gain.
Oh I do love our fans, such short bloody memories. Does no one remember 'The run-in of death', our last 10 games where we were told by every pundit and most fans that we wouldn't get a point? What happened then? Now I'm not saying we are going to turn over all the big teams again, but ffs how about we get behind the team instead of stupid ******* posts that expect the worst??? What the hell happened to supporting your team?
Uh......dont you know who you support! this is QPR!!! We do crap against the lower teams and usually beat or do well against the better sides.....top 10 by October
personally i prefer to get these games done early then we have time to recover if we don't fare too well.last seasons hellish run in proved that the spirit when called apon is there.saying that though spirit should be switched on for every game not just when things are going bad.
To sum it up in not so many terms.....THIS !!! Lets leave the negativity and the belittling of our club to the pundits and Norwich fans. It's more about the performances in the next few games than the results...I'm not expecting many points but if we play well (like Man City at Home last season) i'll be pretty satisfied
Here are the facts. Last season we twice gave Citeh a run for their money and we beat (yes beat) Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs. We are QPR and we have got nothing to fear.
What are our last 10 games, Sorry can't be bothered to search. Is it an 'easier' run in than last season.
I'd agree with this. I thought last night what a strong team we put out and we had a fantastic bench. Hughes has put together a really strong squad and once they really start to gel, we are going to move up the table. With the possibility of one or two more signings, it's going to get even better. What a great time to be a QPR supporter!
Its going to take a few more games for this team to gel so would rather get the hard games out of the way now, City, Chelski and Spurs and lose then lose to other teams we need to be taking points off. Hopefully by the West Ham game we we have a really good team playing really well and shoot up the league from October onwards.
**** all the 'This' 'This' and 'This' ****. The post is far from '****ing stupid' it's a distinct possibility. I'm merely pointing out the obvious. There was no gloom and doom associated with it. The Post isn't titled 'Down by October.' And lets be honest even the most ''rose tinted, hard up, stubborn'' Supported will surely have to agree that its going to take a vast improvement on the Swansea and Norwich games to get ANYTHING from these games.
Can we take it from what you've written that in your view there is a distinct possibility we may not win the premiership this year? If that is so then that is a view with which I happen to concur.
