I recently posted an article about the above subject and said we have reasons to be optimistic. Now those who know me from these boards know about my "glass is half full" outlook on our club - well it's gone. We were awful last night - looked OK when we got the ball until we got somewhere around the box then we looked awful. Only positives I can see from last night: Cattermole - Heart, Passion, Determination and played a few lovely passes Bardsley: Didn't look fit but needs game time and he got 90 minutes last night O'Shea - I may get slated for this but Cuellar was so poor that without O'Shea we would've probably been hammered by more That's about it Johnson had no bottle - he got into the box and a hard challenge came in - all he had to do was get there first (and he was easily favourite) and it was a penalty -0 the lad would've taken him down - and he bottled it. He did the same outside the box - we can't afford to have players avoiding challenges in case they get hurt - particularly not in a relegation battle (which we will be in if things don't change significantly) Cuellar looked slower than i do and I'm 37 having broken my leg twice and now suffering from arthritis in it!!! Miller looked so quick in comparison and he's just a big lummox and not that fast! Something is wrong somewhere - I know those players are better than I am watching - Martin O'Neill had loads of passion on the sideline last night - just a pity that only a couple of his players had that - We missed Gardner and Larsson as these are also players with a little fight and determination (not to mention the ability!) Colback - possibly his worst game in a Sunderland shirt! **** it - I haven't touched my pint which was Half Full this time yesterday but now it's half empty!!
Mine is still half full cos i so want us to succeed, MON is still the man to take us forward. A couple of wins will boost confidence that is so obviously lacking right now, problem is i honestly can't see where those wins will come from and as i've said on another thread, have you seen Decembers fixture list? ****ing scary to think where we could be come January. He needs to sort it out and he needs to do it fast, my main concern is that he'll go all defensive and attempt not to get beat. If he does then i won't be going to watch it. I'd rather he gave them all a right good arse kicking and at least try to win games.
welder - I love the optimism mate and agree a couple of wins will boost us - but I just can;t see where a win is going to come from - Fletcher is trying his hardest but there were about 8 times last night where the ball was begging to be shot at goal and we were scared to hit it. Boro shot when they had an opportunity to shoot!! (O'Neill is still the man for me but I honestly think he needs Robertson in the camp!)
Cattermole - He's Cattermoles Dad, he's Cattermoles Dad, Jimmy Saville he's Cattermoles Dad Bardsley - dirty cheating ****ing scumbag **** (Also same for the dickhead above) O'Shea - He's big. he's gay, he looks like Peter Kay. John O'Shea John O'Shea
Mods - can you sort this ****ing idiot out please - It's not his fault his dad is his brother and he went down on his Mam the other night
It's actually "inbred" mate. Not very bright are you. Another new account created by a window licker to go on the wind up. You went to all that trouble for nowt marra, cos you're **** at it. It's well seen the schools are off.
Pessimism is a very destructive emotion, so any of those feelings that we have should be collectively directed towards the thick Mag tosser posting on this thread..
