After the recent Copa America where Peru finished a remarkable 3rd, expectations have gone through the roof about qualification for Brazil 2014 which starts in South America next month. On Friday after watching a recording of England's comfortable win over Bulgaria I settled down for the Peru Bolivia friendly. Peru started with a swagger and a confidence against a weak Bolivia. Sadly 2 defensive lapses cost Peru dear and I was glad it was only a friendly because this was the wake-up call Peru needed. Thinking ahead to Monday week and the Newcastle game I understand the wave of optimism that has gripped us following recent events, but realise as well the hard work that lays ahead. I'm glad we've got Neil in charge who will get the team motivated and in the right frame of mind for the challenge of competing at this level. As an Rs fan I shall sit back and enjoy it, proud that my Peruvian friends who'd never heard of QPR before, now have. Beckham a QPR? Etc, etc, You Rsssssssssssssssssssssssss
Pretty much, we need to be patient and roll with the punches - there will be great results and crap ones along the way, overall we are in a much stronger position than when the season started, goes without saying
I see it more like this. QPR play at Loftus Road. Loftus Road is in Shepherds Bush. Shepherds Bush has a direct connection to Paddington. Paddington has a direct link to Peru. Therefore Loftus Road is connected to Peru. please log in to view this image
