They keep cropping up on the forums lately and there is no need for it. Please can they stop because it is out of order to get personal with someone on a forum imo - you wouldn't do it in the street. Yes, I'm aware i've done it once but I've learnt from my mistakes. If you don't like someone, ignore them on your ignore list and don't use personal insults
As do I but I wanted to get the message across! - Joey B (unsurprisingly) has had a post deleted, although I dunno what it said as he is on my ignore list
Come on guys and gals we all support Saints. Why on earth is it so difficult to to have any sort of discussion with out offensive remarks to each other!
Could I also add, that it would be greatly appreciated if no-one quoted posts containing personal abuse. We as mods can quite easily just press delete on a comment which contains personal abuse (before then following this up privately with the individual(s) involved), but if someone quote's that message before we've had time to delete it, then it remains for all to see and almost defeats the point.
Why get all pissy that someone's called you something on a forum the day I care what some ass I don't know is saying would be the day I'm born a nazi
I used to be very rude to Joey B. I don't know why I just could not stop myself so he is now on my ignore list and harmony has been restored to my life.
I called SB3 a twat once but generally I try not to insult anyone as if you do you are just lowering yourself, never mind the person you want to have a go at. I think that people on this forum should pretend that the people you are talking to are standing in front of you, not anonymous figures somewhere in cyberspace. We might be a little kinder to each other (with one or two obvious exceptions) that way.
I can use the words some use but prefer to try to get my point across using the Queen's English as taught many decades ago. Unhappily much of what I learned has been forgotten but some remains. Therefore I am not always successful but I continue to try.
Morning guys. Birmingham's a reasonably short journey for me, and a late kick off as well, so I'll join this one. A couple of weeks ago annoyance got the better of me and I had a go at Joey B. I published an apology the next day. People misunderstood that. The person I was most annoyed at was me for being such an idiot as to resort to personal slanging. There were those who said a person should never apologise. What? Even if you are wrong? We get heated on this board occasionally, but generally there have been some great threads - Godders posts some of the wittiest; Lamballana the most irrelevant yet somehow compelling (the bands one was great) and our Pompey friends make some great retorts. I think we all get a bit uptight about this which is disproportionate.
Does this relate to Evra v Suarez and John Terry? How can people use the heat of the moment as an excuse then lambast footballers for their misdemeanors on the pitch in the heat of the moment?! (Sorry I am playing Devil's advocate )
