QPR play Persebaya this evening in our final fixture of a hugely successful Asia tour - and you can watch it LIVE, courtesy of ustream.tv! The match in Surabaya, Indonesia kicks off at 8.40pm local time (2.40pm UK) and will see Mark Hughes field another strong side as he looks to make it three wins from three after 5-0 victories against a Sabah Select XI and Kelantan in Malaysia. Interesting team. Green, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Connolly, Hill, Fabio, Taarabt, Diakite, Traore, Zamora, Helguson 6 D 2 M 2 A It almost looks like a 532/352 with wingbacks unless Connolly plays CM Theres also someone signed in as OddballQPR, I wonder who that could be. The ground looks packed, it looks like a competitive fixture with banners and everything.
By comparison, Man Utd appear to be experiencing more competitive games in South Africa given their recent 1-0 & 1-1 scorelines. Why is it that the BBC provides full match reports for their games?
Welll he had to be from Yorkshire if it wasnt you. Park got a great reception but strangly Ferdinand got the 2nd best reception, maybe they dont like racists either.
Would really like to watch this, but unfortunately 10:40am, so I'm at work. Might be able to catch a bit of the second half over lunchtime. As in the previous tour games, looking forward to hearing some perspectives and score updates on this thread.
The BBC on radio and TV seem to think that the whole country is interested in Man U, Man city, Chelsea and Arsenal. The managers only have to fart to have it reported. What they don't get is that the majority of football fans couldn't give a toss about them. It is like watching games on the TV, I cannot stand tuning in only to find a bunch of complete Richardheads talking for an hour before each game. The kick off time is rarely mentioned, only the start of the inane chatter amongst the has-beens. I noticed a couple of times last season that when we were televised the talk was more about the top four or five, even when they are supposed to be discussing the teams we were abut to watch. The fact is that very few of the journos/presenters/pundits can be bothered with anything that isn't about one of the top group. They have a VERY limited knowledge about anything going on further down the table ... and it shows. A few will do their homework, but the rest are absolutely dire.
Looks awesome in the ground, its packed, fire crackers going off, horns and chants a real atmosphere.... come on ur'sssssssssssssssss
Theres more atmosphere there than at a game at the Emirates. good job by their fans. I bet Clint Hill didnt think he be captaining a team in Indonisia 3 years ago. Its Traore LW and Fabio RW and I think Taarabt in the middle.
I still cant get over Adel playing CM, hes sitting deep and doing well. Well it didnt take long for a Rob Green special.
