Not unheard of for loan deals to be trumped by better personal terms even at this late stage. Unlikely I know but not impossible.

I wouldnt say I'll be doing cartwheels over this signing.He looked lost at Luton and went missing a few times. Would he better at FB. Its the full back positions which are key and we seriously need some pace and quality in,ie Bertrand/Walker types or make no mistake we will get absolutely pummelled week in week out. If we get a decent left back,then we have a better option for Hill at centre back(hes never been a full back anyway)...really hoping we get a few in soon!..
We were short in the full-back positions last year, can't believe nothing has been done about it now we're in the Premiership. We even played Mackie at right-back in one game (though he did play very well). And imagine if we had to play Borrowdale at left-back!
Was this deal ever in doubt? Briatori back room deal written all over it. If the reports are to be believed he has done nothing to justify a contract on merit.
