No matter what we have to win the final game. Let’s look at what it takes from other results for us to be top 6.

if Blackburn fail to beat Luton on Monday…

Boro beating Coventry means we are guaranteed to be in the playoffs unless West Brom win by 4 more than us

even if Coventry get points from Boro, we will still be in the playoffs if Millwall fail to beat Blackburn

If Blackburn beat Luton on Monday
Same as above but either of those sides winning would put them above us. If they draw we are in the playoffs

to sum up. Us winning is essential and Boro beating Coventry means we are in playoffs. If Blackburn don’t win on Monday then it rules them out of finishing above us. Meaning only a Millwall win could stop us from finishing above both of them.

I’ll put it even more simply. If Blackburn don’t win on Monday, and we beat Preston - the only result that can stop us being in the playoffs is Millwall winning.

    Cmon Luton!

Fwiw it massively helps that our goal difference is better than every team in every scenario.

If Coventry lose and we win our goal difference is better. If they don’t lose we can’t catch them on points anyway.

And the other teams we have better GD than all.

So if it comes down to goal difference with any of the teams - we win.

Would a Blackburn draw vs Luton be the best outcome for us?
I'm just thinking it would give Blackburn something to play for....a win for us and Blackburn, we would be in top 6.

Yeah ideally Blackburn will get something against Luton, a draw would be great.

If a Boro v Coventry draw sees them both in the playoffs and ****s us, then I think we can count on being ****ed.

A Blackburn draw is the best result on Monday to give them something to play for against Millwall.

just a draw. Not a win. A win is bad for us.

two wins for Blackburn and they finish above us.

a win and a draw and they can’t (assuming we win - if we don’t it’s irrelevant anyway)

Yeh - a Blackburn loss or draw tomorrow and they’re our main route of success here. If that happens, Millwall HAVE to beat them to stop us going to playoffs. And if they do, our backup will be whether Boro beat Cov

I wonder whether Coventry are delayed on their way to Boro leading to a delayed kick off same as V Bristol City and V Spurs - wouldn’t surprise me in the least , Leopards never change their spots . Their antics cost us two relegation’s and what’s amazing is they can’t see what the problem was and why SAFC fans hate Coventry .

A year ago today I was sat in the stands at Morecambe watching Nathan Broadhead score the winning goal which took us to the playoffs and we all know how that turned out.
No reason it can’t happen again HTL.

I’m just gonna accept we didn’t quite make it this year, and if we do, it’s a bonus.

I have a feeling we will though. If we can get home from right next year we can have a really special season. Reason we can’t win at home is that is when you need your striker, when team defend.

We will have this right next season, surely?

When you think had Blackburn not threw them 4 points away we would have copped it now, so cannot complain. if we win and Coventry lose and we win would finish above them on goals for, we could do it on goal difference !. now if WBA win 5-0 at Swansea they could finish in the top 6.

If you're on about ifs and buts - IF the referee had given the foul on Jack Clarke in Blackburn's 18 yard box before they scored their first and IF the linesman flagged for offside for Blackburn's second then we would've been 3 points better off but as they say that's football

Just looking at the numbers again.

If we hadn’t equalised yesterday, and Blackburn beat Luton tomorrow - we would have been out of it.

Because of that equaliser we have numerous routes even if Blackburn win.

These playoffs piss simple [ supposing we make it ] as we are better away than at home it is in our favour to play at home first. Don't lose at home then win away. Not rocket science.
