Not at home gents at a wedding have had a skinful someone please give me some permutationso can we afford a loss now or is it a draw and all wins
Technically, we can draw the game against Chelsea and still be safe from City (if we lose to Chelsea, we need to hope for a better goal difference), but I hope the players and Rodgers don't look at it that way. We just need to go and keep on doing what we're doing; attacking.
Not much has changed really. We have 4 tough games coming up with not much room for error, go with the same mentality, remove all doubt by winning all of our games.
As a SAFC supporter please beat Norwich tomorrow for the greatest escape act In the history of the premier league !.
In short; Lfc max point = 89 points Chelsea max = 84 points City max = 86 points Therefore lfC need 87 points or 86 and superior gd 87 = 3 wins and one draw. I hope this defines what LFC need as really nothings changed if city draw to Everton then things change. Until then we must simply win our games 85 to win it would be nice as it's 3 wins to 86 or 2 wins 2 draws to 85. City are not out of it! Chelsea are not out of it It's pretty simple if we beat the non top 4 sides then that could well be enough now but to rub salt in mourinhos wounds in between two cl ties is a dream topping! I'm going to predict now that if we win the next 3 some one will be on here bricking it about only needing a draw on the last day... That's just the way it seems to be going for guys
Man City look flakey though - I have no doubt they'll drop more points. Look on the bright side, Chelsea ****ed it today and it is no longer in their hands. We're the only team now that has it in their hands #gameon
It makes a big difference! Chelsea are unlikely to win the title now (not completely out of it) without multiple results going in their favour. Not just one. Essentially it's a two horse race instead of a three horse race. Us or City. Chelsea beat us- then City has the advantage. We beat Chelsea- we have the advantage. A draw- City has the advantage. City is just as dangerous to our title hunt as they were- but Chelsea's biggest impact could be in taking the title from us and giving it to City. More importantly- Chelsea's thin hopes depend on them beating us... not just drawing with us. Now Jose CAN'T park the bus at Anfield! Before he could have hoped us and City would drop points along the way- and park the bus at Anfield for a draw... he can't do that now as he would need us to lose points in both our last two games AND City to drop points. So Jose has to go for a win now instead of chancing a draw by playing defensively. Having to attack us opens him up to our strengths. So- Chelsea losing means today means we are more likely to win next weekend. All this assumes, rather dangerously, that we beat Norwich. With upsets in the air, that is no guarentee.
