The League Managers Association five-man Performance of the Week panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, were in agreement that this week, the F&C Investments Performance of the Week Award should go to Bristol Rovers following their excellent 3-0 away win against Fleetwood Town in npower League Two on Saturday 12 January 2013. John Ward will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to commemorate the award. http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/performance-of-the-week-604937.aspx Not a bad achievement, Sir Alex and co picking us over the rest of the games
I think another performance of the week should go to Steve Comer, the counciller for Eastville. Steve is a forty year Rovers supporter. His passionate speech at the Bristol City Planning Debate swung the arguments in favour of Sainsbury's planning approval. Steve said all the things that those of us on this and the City Board have been crying out for for a long time. Get Bristol off its ass and take the bull by the horns and bring the facilities of our city into the 21st century!! I sincerely hope that those with a vote remember the weak and backward arguments of the three politically correct pratts who voted against the proposal.
Great performance against Fleetwood rightly recognised. Comer= Legend. I really didn't know that he was a Gashead and a ST holder.
Too late we all cry!! There's something about waiting for a fat lady singing......... Did she not make one helluva beautiful sound?
Excellent for Wardy and the team. Normally if an award is presented the next match is a crock. Hopefully it will spur our team to greater heights COR
