I summarised by thoughts on the season in the Forest threat, this squad is definitely capable of top 6 this time around and if we don't make it I will be a little bit gutted. Best team spirit since 07/08 by a long way.

Anyway, with our high tempo chasing game and lack of possession at times meaning - you've guessed it more running for players, I think they looked dead on their feet the final 25 at Forest today. Two away games don't help either!

    It also helps....

    - Good time for McGoldrick to have a rest. He's not 100% fully fit after his bad injury but he's been doing quite well still.
    - Williams to gain a little bit more fitness for the next game too.
-Ambrose/Hunt/Stewart/Collison to gain fitness and play some football.
    - Decision to be made regarding Hewitt and whether he will go out on loan. Could Henshall join him?

We have some winnable games coming up - I'm not going to be like the Norwich forum all predicting 4-1 7-0 wins vs Rotherham :D :D. Be good to have some more options to choose from.

Great first 25% town, what will the final 75% bring!?

Agree with you Westy perfect time for a break, not only for the reasons you have mentioned but also to work on one or two mistakes that have crept in, namely conceding 3 goals in two games from corners, also and for me more importantly to build on a very good opening to the season!

I don't know if it is, we're on a great run of form at the moment and when your on good form you just keep wanting to play.

Something we definitely need to learn though is to keep the ball and perhaps slow the game down a bit. It's a pattern I've seen in all of our games, we go into games playing 100miles an hour which is impressive but come the end of the game, we're out on our feet and playing backs against the wall stuff, we need to learn to get the ball to do more of the work.

I think the International break has come at the perfect time!

Time to regroup to analyse what has gone well and what has gone wrong and to work on the areas for improvement. Mick is no fool and he knows just what is needed and given the luxury of time he will bring back some much needed organsiation into defending set plays. Malcolm Webster will be on the training pitch with Gherks working on how to deal with crosses and Didz will get more recovery time as he clearly isn't 100% fit!

Its great to be a Town fan at this moment and with this team that Mick has assembled for a pint of lager and a packet of crisps we will be right up there come the business end. Teams are beginning to fear playing us as they cant match our workrate, fitness and desire. We just need to tighten up on a few things but just tweaks as opposed to full scale surgery is required! We still go unoticed under the radar and although I get annoyed with some of the comments made by so called pundits and oppo managers they can all go and do one!

Pearce reckons yesterday that Forest should have won by 4 or 5...! What a NUMPTY! <ok>

I love it when managers look at games with rose tinted specs, Pearce chose to leave out the very good chance Murph missed early doors and the one on one that Joniesta made a complete hash of, on that basis maybe he would have been happier with 4-4.!

    Who cares.
Nobody notices us because all we've been doing lately is making up the numbers in the league. We will continue doing what we are doing and I don't think it would be a huge surprise if we finished top six.
I'm cool if nobody rates us, so long as the results keep coming.
