A win at Fulham, would almost certainly mean PL football next season. Now if this was followed by beating Liverpool to stop them winning the title, I'd be happy. I didn't realise until recently that my animosity towards "plastic fans" began with Liverpool. As a young boy, I was very excited to see them win the 1977 European Cup, but over the next few years, the amount of Liverpool scarves worn at school by local Norfolk boys and girls was galling to say the least. Now, they start to crawl out of the woodwork again, and it was obvious to the folk I was talking to at the time that there was supressed anger, (I need help) I think I actually prefer Utd fans, that felt wrong, oh god I do need help

Longsight - I think I´m going to wait until after we have won before getting too excited, we all know what happened last weekend after we were ´going to win that´. You´re right, a win here would just about see us safe, but don´t forget, that perfect scenario could easily turn into worst case scenario, if Fulham win.

    Fingers very crossed indeed.

It's just the dream scenario but I am very aware it could easily become a nightmare.

I can't fathom out how the hell we have ended up in this situation.

Needing to win away at Fulham to stay in the league! The cruel hand of fate has dealt us a bad hand here.

One thing I am almost sure of though, had we kept with Hughton we would definitely have lost that match, just look at the capitulations away to Villa and loads others and the lack of confidence running through the team.

At least this way Neil is an unknown quantity and may pull something different out the hat, we have the attack minded players to win this match no doubt. They just have to believe in themselves, something that Hughton could not instill in them.

Having watched the youth FA cup final and a few other youth matches while Neil has been in charge I can tell you one thing, it will be different.

Neil likes to play with width and I think is more similar to Lambert, likes to play counter attacking, expansive football.

It's put up or shut up time for the players, we need a performance from them and if Neil cuts some them loose to do what they are good at I think they can do it. We may well see the diamond back and even though Hoolahan had a poor game against West Brom I think he will start.
