    Glad he has signed a new deal, but these days that doesn't mean he will stay long term though does it.
    Just means more money from those who may like to snap him up at a later date.

    PEREZ PAYS TRIBUTE

    Newcastle's Ayoze Perez has signed a new deal at the club until 2021, and this is what he's had to say...

    "Today I've signed my new contract. I will be in Newcastle until 2021 and I'm very happy. Since my arrival here one year and a half ago I only have good words about the city, the Club and, of course, about the fans.

    "When I came to Newcastle people told me that the fans here were amazing. It was not true.

    "They are much more than amazing. Thanks to all the people in the Club and in the city. Newcastle United is my home and the Toon Army is my family. I just can say that I will give everything for this team and for the fans.

    "Howay the Lads."
