Pepe Reina drops hint

Asked directly about United’s interest on Spanish radio station Onda Cero, Reina dropped a massive hint that it could happen. He said: “Yes, well van der Sar will hang up his gloves in the summer so of course they are looking. I can’t do anything. I can’t say anything logically as I have a contract with Liverpool. Of course one likes to fight for titles and be in a team that does that.”

Q..I have to ask you about two things. The first has to do with your future, there's been a lot of talk about you not being completely happy at Liverpool and you are looking for an exit or that you would like to leave the English club, is there any truth to this?

A. No, i'm not looking for anything, quite the contrary! What i looked for this past May, was to renew with Liverpool because im very happy. I think i've signed a very good contract for the remainder of this and the next five years and then, logically, what every professional wants is to win, wants to be competitive and play for a competitive team. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he did. I think he'd be daft if he does, as we're on the up again now. But I wouldn't rule it out at all.

His saves and organisation of his defence are worth well more than the best striker on the planet. If he's angling for a raise, give him a raise.
