I think if we end up signing all our targets, we will see a completely different Chelsea next season.
    Im thinking maybe something like a 4 2 3 1

    Cech
    Ivan Cahill Terry Cole
    Lamps Ramires
    Mata Hulk Hazard
    Torres

We can insert either Mikel or Essien into the 2 midfield spots that Lamps and Ramires are in, and we also have Marin to come in on the wings aswell.
We could rotate wingers like Jose did with Duff, Joe Cole and Robben as they are more injury prone than most other positions due to the amount of tackles they take and tire the quickest.

That starting 11 is awesome then on the bench we would have

    Marin
    Luiz
    Essien
    Meireles
    Mikel
    Sturridge
    Bertrand

A good team methinks. And to top it all off I think that we should go all out to get Guardiola.....
Like most, I didnt give him enough credit for putting that Barca team together, as i thought that I could even win La Liga with that team, but when I researched into it and saw how he gave them that philosophy and worked for hours a day with them on one touch passing, I think we would tear Europe a new one with that team and pep in charge.

I'm so excited by this potential team. I'm going to call it and say Guardiola will sign after the Euros. Would love Robbie to stay as assistant coach, but ill think he'll move on.

A bit of a risk to not have a keeper on the bench I think.

The quality was always in that Barcelona side, Rijkaard just lost control of the egos, a bit like AVB did. Guardiola who was a former player of the club automatically demanded respect, just like Di Matteo was and did with us. Both knew the club and the fanbase.

People should seriously start rating De Bruyne. I reckon he is a future star. Already established with a very cool head. Should stay with us next season.

You will never get Pep. Heres why..

Roman Abramovich.....Pep is a man who takes control of HIS squad. Plays HIS players when HE sees fit. He wont play a player based on reputaion or because some Russian gimp says so.

So any thoughts of getting a manager who just had the easiest job in world football at Barcelona should be left at the back of your minds never to be thought of again.

Now Rafa...... thats a guy you could get. Dont though, unless you no longer want a club.

If we get Guardiola after his " I'm shagged, am taking a year off ", then he's not worth two bob in my book. We don't need another one seduced by RAs' money, we need someone who is strong willed and as good as his word.
Our next manager needs to start from day one beyond the owners whims and interference, and take on the tough decisions that the owner and his board always back down on, i.e., get rid of the old players and rebuild the team. To not do so just puts our proper resurgence back every year until it is finally done.
Additionally, Guardiola has never experienced pressure like he will in the PL, day in day out unrelenting. In Spain he only plays 2 difficult games per year, home and away to Real. The rest are like training runs. If he's "knackered" after a season with two tough matches, he'll be in an induced coma after a season of PL.
And when it comes to the really big matches, he comes second to Chelsea anyway. His tippy tap game doesn't work against us, only those dumb enough to try and match it.

CP--I see the sense in your view! The Special One managed it, but thats why he's Special! I cant speak too highly of what RDM has managed in his time, but without Drogs --and the other seniors another year older, could he really work the Oracle in the PL?

I don't think he needs to work the Oracle BM2. The guts of the team is there, and we have got De Bruyne, Marin, Hazard (allegedly) coming in. Our defence looks especially great, perfect blend of youth and experience, something you and I have argued for for some time. We have Mata and Ramires, Romeu , the forgotten man, Mikel my personal hero of the CL final. We have a great forward in Torres, maybe Hulk, Lakuku, Kakuta, Sturridge, who I must admit , I don't rate at all, Josh, Piazon, it goes on and on.
We have in RDM a manager who has overcome all the player dummy spits , egos and whinging, who lifted the performance of EVERY player in our squad, including the three almost under permanent siege on these boards, and created a "we will not be beaten" mentality that won us the CL and FA against all the odds. All our players stepped up big time, and so did our Manager.
Why would you bring in someone new and start the grief all over again, rather than go forward and slowly but surely, build on the excellent work of last season, and bring about the changes necessary in what , really, only the starting order ??
We need some our reinvigorated senior players to help bed in the new ones, and as sure as night follows day, to eventually defer to them. We will be in 4 comps next season , and we know that means deciding which one or even 2, we downgrade. Plenty of game time for everyone.
What we don't need is a return to the gang of 5, now 4, cutting up rough for the new boss, with RA and his cowardly board caving in and shafting yet another manager.
    For me , it's a no brainer.

    Ok...

Seriously though, Pep isnt going to leave his dream job, lie to his friends about having a rest and then turn up in London a few months later. I am not a fan of Pep and think hes massively overrated but I suspect hes got some self respect and some respect for those who made him what he is.

The team at Barcelona has been picking itself for the last four seasons. Barcelona would perform with or without a manager, he is just there to give direction to the players and make them all feel loved.

I agree but on the odd occasion that a player was out or off form then Pep would choose his replacement for that game or run of games based on footballing reasons.

At Chelsea this doesnt happen, the manager is told who to play, not all positions but the manager doesnt have control, infact any control he appears to have is merely an illusion.

Its fair to call your club a circus in many aspects. One day managers will see you as a easy way to make 3 or 4 million in 6 months. Its basically like that now. Cannot see Pep being one of those managers.

Where the hell did you get this from?!
I will admit that the board interferes with purchasing players and tries to steer managers toward marquee signings rather than ones who would benefit the squad more (again, Shevchenko springs to mind).
But what evidence do you have to suggest Roman picks the starting XI and formation?! LOL
You think Roman comes into the dressing room with a piece of paper and tells the manager what tactics to use? Dont be a tool

AAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like a hole in the head !!!!!!!!! Another "name" with no PL experience, no success with English players,, and despite several year of residence, very poor English.
We had 2 good candidates yesterday, RDM and Brendan Rogers, today only one !!!!
