Firstly I would like to say hi as I'm new to this forum, my name is Calvin and my friend told me about this forum.

Sky bets relegation odds come up on my screen the other day and I noticed we wasn't even in the top 6 fancied by the bookies to go down, so what are peoples expectations this season for
Me mid table or above would be a great season in the back on my mind I'm still slightly worried about another dog fight, I still feel we need another centre half cover for
Brown and o Shea, and possibly a proven goalscorer, also still think we lack creativity in the middle of the park but if Rodwell stays fit hopefully he will be the answer. Overall I would be pleased with a cup run and consolidate this season almost like last season but preferably be safe sooner rather than later. What does everyone else think?

    Hello :emoticon-0128-hi:

    Mid table. Safe by January.

After the traumas and shambles of the last few seasons, that`ll do me just fine.

Mid table, another trip to wembley and 2 x derby victories will do me just fine

Reckon we could be good for 8th-12th this time out, without the usual bricking it over a relegation scrap. Hopefully with the cups and derbies providing the thrills.

We are still more than capable of snatching relegation from the jaws of the top ten, however, so my chickens remain uncounted.

Close to and maybe even top 10.
The derby wins are just a given and an FA semi minimum.

As has been the case for the past few seasons there are a clutch of of real poor relegation candidates. Comfortable safety will do. As well as beating that lot in the fa cup final.

Hopeful prediction would be a comfortable higher mid table placing with a decent run in at least one cup, and the team gelling and playing proper football under Poyet's guidance.

Real expectation is the same regarding Poyet and team unity but position wise I see us floating around above the bottom three. There's so much potential at the club right now I can't wait for the season to start.

Honestly don't expect much from this season.

Hope we stay up without the panic towards the end of last season.

Some nice football and 15th and above would be ideal for me.

    Welcome

All I expect this season is us to finish comfortably clear of 18th place

    Welcome Calvin and good luck.

I'm expecting Sunderland to be well organised and very difficult to beat with a pre-determined style of play.

That's something we haven't had for a long time and I thik Poyet will do well for us with his tactics & substitutions.

It's been frustrating watching other managers running rings around the likes of O'Neill & Bruce while they stood with their eyes glazed over.

Top half would be great providing we have either a cup run or remain undefeated against Newcastle <ok>

    Welcome to our crazy house.

Hoping for top ten, 10th'll do. And a couple of good cup runs.

But safe with 10 games left would be great! :emoticon-0107-sweat

Aye welcome to the nut house lad !

I'd like to think we could make the top half, which means Gus gets his targets.
