..... ly great. I've never been one for meeting up with people off these forums, too many 'internet weirdos'. But I have to say everyone I've met off here have been great, I've had a sincere wedding invite and met a few yesterday at the Spurs match. One of them, the slimline replacement for Mr R&W, I knew, but Paradiddles turned up specifically to bring me a book he'd mentioned on here I also met a couple of others who choose not be mentioned by name ...... all really decent lads and a good laugh. Fortunately they all have a sense of humour and understand that much of what I say on here is 'tongue in cheek' ......... pleasure to see you all. Message ends.
It was great to meet up with you and your lad again...And it was also nice to meet up with parradiddles...We both recognised each other straight away as our paths have certainly crossed somewhere along the line, but for the life of me I can't remember where and when..
Met a couple of people off of here. Bri - Top bloke with a killer dress sense V-Joe - Nothing needs to be said. One of the best to have ever entered my life!
Would love to meet a few of the blokes here, V-Joe being right at the top of the list, and QWOP, to meet that mythical creature "Proper, decent Mag" would be a life changing thing! haha
I met up with a couple of lads, in the Vic, that I've known since Roker Park, pre-internet days when I travelled with Frankie Wheatley. I also met Paradiddles who appeared on Not606. All decent lads and it just shows that not everyone on internet forums are weirdos.
I've met yoursel reg and Para as well - Both at Sunderland gigs (Silksworth and the Ivy Leaf respectively). There is a list as long as my arm of people on here I would like to meet up with and have a bit of footy chat. ONe of these weeks I will get to a pre match beer with some of you.
Ditto mate, if ever you are planning to visit then give me a shout, would love to hear about the Bond adventures first hand . QWOP is quite mythical in a mythical type of way, he has all the attributes to make a great football manager, shame Ashley doesn't hire him.. I took him to the lads v Everton last season, we were at the front of the East stand by the pitch barrier, I nearly had to go and mark him a technical area out , Poyet was in my eyeline right opposite and my mate QWOP was up on his feet by the barrier going through the same motions. The lad is a class A star and a very good mate now..
Joe's a legend fella, very amusing chap, I instantly felt at ease with him, same with his son, I hold them in the up most highest regard. I find meeting new people to be quite awkward but not with these lads, same for QWOP, a mag with kind eyes and golden heart. Raw is a legend, I mean literally, he's a celebrity, walking to the Victory we couldn't walk ten yards without being met with a hand shake, an utter gent. I've met Bobby too, big man with a big heart, robbed of time with him so must get together with him again. Also Met Wise man, still not managed to get a full pint with him and he stands about 5 seats from me Seems a sound geezer as does his mates, I'll manage a few jars with him over the course of the season I don't doubt. Best people in the world you lot. Salt of the earth. I became a recluse over the last 3 or 4 years, lost a faith in humanity and saw bad sides to couple of people I was very close to and it completely knocked the stuffing out of me. You lads are helping me regain a lot of confidence in myself and faith in humanity. I thank you all dearly.
Touching piece that mate. People on here come over very genuine, and will do their utmost to help fellow mackems. I'd love to meet you and a few others mate, I think billy is a quality character, very very funny man. You do get some rotten apples on here, the Sikh fella who comes on here (can't remember his name) and a couple mag wums.. But other than that, there's a solid bunch of lads on here, with genuine intentions.
I wouldn't meet any of you weirdos if you paid me... Unless anyone wants to pay me... No one wants to pay me.
