Clarkson's a twat but I hate the Daily Mail and its readership more. There were only 23 complaints about the show and then they came out with this belter: They really are struggling when they try to shoehorn something like that into it.
It always amuses me when people label the likes of Clarkson as 'Nazis'. Do they realise what the Nazis actually did? Suffice to say they didn't limit their activities to jokes about toilets.
Seriously, if you take anything he says seriously then you are a grade A idiot. He is an entertainer who is constantly pushing the boundaries of what he can get away with to provoke a reaction. He is no idiot as he knows exactly what he is doing when he says what he does and by reacting in this way people are giving him exactly what he is after,
Having seen where he lives (Chipping Norton in The Cotswolds, near Cheltenham), I'd say he's garnered plenty of the folding.
The truth is if it was some little known celeb on the BBC doing it he would be sacked. But Clarkson earns the BBC lots of lovely dosh in terms of selling Top Gear around the world as well as the BBC getting a share of the DVD sales cash.
Has he got another book out? Usually stirs up some sort of controversy around the time his latest tome is published.

As much as I hate mopey bastards. Clarkson really is a first class dick. He has a face you wouldn't tire of punching. And that wee arsehole Hammond or whatever he's called. Smug wee ****. I wish he had died in that car crash.
I'd love to see Hammond, Clarkson, Mays and Anne Widdecombe do a full blow nreconstruction of the Paris tunnel crash with the same result..
So I assume these same people complained after the American road trip special? Or how about the China episode of An Idiot Abroad? Karl is always coming out with offensive stuff, mocking other people's culture. Only difference is that Clarkson has been made a scapegoat recently so they'll jump on anything he does. That article is ridiculous. Linking it with the murder of that Indian fella is scandalous, especially getting a vague comment from a family member to further incriminate Clarkson!
If they were in a Minivan there would be room for some of the Royals too. Only the young ones though, the oldies have only got a few years in them
