If it comes to the dreaded penalty shootout on Saturday, who are your 1st five? I am really struggling on this, but here goes. 1. Hoolahan (if he is still on pitch after120mins) 2. Hooper 3. Johnson 4. Howson 5. Tettey What do you think.
This has been the longest season that I can remember for a long time, I hate this division and I was gutted when we missed out on the autos. I want this so bad mate it's keeping me awake at night. To answer your question, no I'm not that confident over 90 minutes anything could happen, still don't think scores will be level aet however
If it goes to ET I think we'll be strong favourites. We have a stronger set of subs to put on the field and I suspect that the Ipswich players will be spending a fair bit of time chasing the ball during the first 90 which (hopefully) will eventually grind them down. I'm not sure if my ticker can cope with ET even though my head says it would favour us. A nice 2 goal cushion at half time followed by a couple more in the second half would just make for a nice relaxing afternoon and a tremendous evening. I suspect it will be somewhat more nervy than this though - don't foresee a match of el classico quality somehow.
I shall actually be foregoing free beer in order to watch this match. Now there is dedication for you.
**** not pennos. I remember tuning in when I lived in China to the P/Off final vs the Blues. A ****ing nightmare on the wireless that was. And no for Tettey on a penno. Not ever. Not ever
I can barely take the play offs, I don't even want to think about penalties lol. I think it's going to be tight game and there will only be 1 goal in it.
I don't think Tettey would be calm enough for a penalty, I can just see him blasting high and wide at 100mph. Redmond's another I wouldn't trust to have the composure.
Alternatively he puts it straight down the middle and the keeper breaks his wrists trying to stop it. That has got me thinking though, is there any precedent for a goalkeeper getting injured mid-shootout?
