Just cause Ben used his iPod to stop hapless spuds from winning a cup, nowadays everyone is over dependent on technology for penalty preparation.

Hart looking into ipad and notes before the shootout..

Did you see Pirlo's as you like classy chip and Gigi's momentous stop of Cole's kick?

Penalties are more like at that moment rather than well drilled excercise.

    Agree?

Pirlo's penalty was selfish - if he missed we would all of been saying what a t*sser he was
Personally I was lucky enough never to miss a pen - make your mind up where to put it and don't change your mind - I took the fifth one in a cup semi final shoot-out (not in front of millions) - it is difficult when you are tired - Cole and Young showed some bottle to put themselves forward

Yeah, thought I had seen Pirlo do that before.

To be honest, I've never thought it was a good idea for a goalkeeper to pick a side and jump that way. You automatically have a much reduced chance of saving the ball.

If a player puts it perfectly in the corner with pace, you can't stop it. Most penalties aren't that good, so FOR JEBUS SAKE STAND IN THE MIDDLE AND SEE WHERE IT'S GOING BEFORE YOU DIVE!!!! Dumbest goalkeeping trick ever just jumping in hope. Teach Hart to read body language as they strike it, tell him to dive when he knows where it's going, and he'll have a better chance of saving it. I've played in goal, I've saved more than I've let in doing this. This being a fair comparison because while they may be ****ter at penalties at lower level football, I am about a foot shorter than Hart and obviously ****ter at goalkeeping. The day a goalie does this for us, I swear we'll win.

Having said that, we deserved to go out.
