There were some interesting decisions made yesterday with the pens given or not given. First, the Fulham pen was a nailed on correct decision for me. Second, the Sunderland pen was very soft. They've been given and not given before. There'd be pens every 5 mins if they were given every time. Third, Senderos' hand ball in last few minutes. Sunderland fans clearly thought it blatant but in Senderos defence he didn't have a chance to move his arm out of the way and it wasn't deliberate. So a correct decision. The Sunderland board disagree with this obviously. I think the ref fell for a soft pen maybe to even things out a bit? Who knows. Anyway a point away is not a disaster. COYW.
You forgot Frimpong flying across with his hands up to block Johnsons shot. Senderos wasn't deliberate therefore not a penalty. Both penalties given were soft, but both probably the correct decision.
