    I really hope that these guys can get fit for the game, but if they don't then their deputies will fill in fine I am sure, cos they did okay last time out, this is according to the Mercury;

    Leicester City are monitoring the progress of full-backs Paul Konchesky and Lee Peltier as the duo bid to return from injury in time for the FA Cup third-round trip to East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

    Both picked up knocks in the 1-1 draw with Portsmouth last Saturday and sat out the excellent victory at Crystal Palace on Monday as academy product Liam Moore and Tom Kennedy stepped in.

    "We will have a look at their situations," said City boss Nigel Pearson.

    "Konchesky has a dead leg and Peltier had a bit of a hamstring and groin tightness, and they weren't close enough to make it for the Palace game.

    "For both Liam and Tom to come into the situation after some disappointing home results, they can take plenty of positives from this. I am pleased for them."

    For Kennedy it was a long-awaited return to action with City.

    The 26-year-old was Pearson's last signing before his departure to Hull in June 2010, but Kennedy never played under the manager.

    And he had not featured for City at all under Sven-Goran Eriksson, although he had been an unused substitute.

    On Monday, Kennedy made his first appearance since the last game of Paulo Sousa's reign, a 4-3 defeat at Norwich City in September 2010.

    "I actually signed him so I don't know how he feels about things, but he has finally played under me, 18 months later," said Pearson.

    "I think he did very well at Palace."

    I'm sure I've heard some people refer to this kid as the best thing from our academy since Heskey?

    Certainly seems to have the talent. 18 years of age and can play CB/LB. Last year he represented England at U19 Euro championships and in the U20 World Cup so he seems a decent prospect to come through. Well done George <ok>.
