on the balance of power in Manchester: "The biggest team is City now, but we can't forget the last few years

I disagree with what he said, regardless of league positions, we're still the biggest team in Manchester and in europe as well.

    You're not though.

City are by far the better side at the moment, you're miles behind them. Yesterday is history mate.

It's still behind them though mate, City's best years are ahead of them, United's era of dominance has been & gone.

You'll always be in & around the top of the game in this country for the foreseeable due to your fanbase. However, I don't think you'll ever see the level of dominance that Ferguson brought you.

    Best team- yes, easily.

Biggest Club though is still United by a mile.

It's hard to see which Pellegrini is refering to though.

The biggest teams in all the leagues across Europe have periods where they struggle, but sooner or later they get back to the top. Granted though it may not be as sustained as when SAF was there

Like Forest, who won the European cup twice you mean? or Villa who also lifted it? Or Leeds who made the SF's of the CL a few short years ago.........

There's never any guarantees in football mate, a large chunk of your fanbase will be fickle glory hunters ;)

I mean there was a time when the kopites were the best around ffs.........

It wont matter what Pellegrini says soon enough.

City are better this season though, two out of the last 30 or so isnt bad going I suppose.

Getting 20000 extra empty seats as well. Well done city.

Also, it will take thousands of years for city to be considered a bigger club than united.

It will never happen. Once the second club, always the second club.

Those where back in the days when the money hadn't taken over the game, but nowadays we are a massive global brand, who rake in fortunes around the world. We've got by far the biggest stadium, and as you say by far the biggest fan base.

Liverpool whilst not winning the league, have still been up and around the top sides in the PL, and have still (as much as it pains me to say) had plenty of success in other competitions. Though when Liverpool where knocked off there perch, they weren't in as strong a position that we are in nowadays
