Without reading this, I said this to a mate in conversation the other week. All his goals, bar for Brazil, scored in Brazil. Never plied his trade in Europe. He was clearly a good player, don't get me wrong, but can he have been anywhere near as good as is claimed without testing himself in one of Europe's finest leagues? ALL the other all time greats did this, for a few clubs too. Pele just banged in the goals for Santos, was the Brazilian league as good as those in Europe where his Brazilian peers went to play?
