I hate the way that there's no balance when judging today's players against those of the past.
People either massively overrate the current ones or write them off completely, for the most part.

I'd be very surprised if the likes of Messi and Ronaldo don't end up in the history books alongside the likes of Maradona and Eusébio.
They've got quite a while to go left in their careers, but they've excelled so far and don't look like slowing down.

I'm not completely sure about Ronaldo. However, there's no doubt in my mind that Messi is already one of the all time greats - and I've seen most of 'em.

Ronaldo was found out in Serie A - he needed a through ball to run onto, or if the ball was intercepted (or his run checked), all he was good for was scoring penalties. Lucky for him, he was world class at winning them...
