Sad when anyone passes but I won’t miss him, I never met him, he never influenced my life. As for being a Leeds supporter he was promoting his book in Leeds so wore a Leeds scarf

Many Leeds fans did meet him though and the fact he did wear a Leeds scarf and wearing it means he was a Leeds fan , or he would not have put it on he already had money and the fact he the greatest footballer ever wore a Leeds United scarf should be celebrated and will inspire many Leeds United youth and above all will be the envy of all teams in premier league and the world.

    Seriously, you believe all that?

He wore the scarf to sell books and please the fans, nice guy, great career but how will he be missed at ER he never stepped foot in the stadium, as for inspiring Leeds youth I'd be gob smacked if you found one youngster who would tell you Pele inspired them

RIP Pele. I'm to young to say I'd miss him as I never saw him play. Youtube video's or so is all I have but he did look a baller. We have some team up there now

    I saw him play
Does not matter I proved Pele inspired youth and has done to many people and players and the fact a Leeds United scarf is round his neck in the picture on this thread means alot to youth team.

You used the term "Will" inspire Leeds Youth. Go to the Youth of Leeds and ask them what players past or present inspire them they won't pick Pele.

If I was manager of Leeds utd I would have that picture of Pele with a Leeds utd scarf round his neck on the changing room wall for inspiration.

From what I have read the team probably have more than their fare share of inspirational media to get through. If I played for Leeds no pictures on the walls would inspire me, I would already be raring to go and always giving it my all. Inspirational memes and quotes that do the rounds on Social Media I have never understood why people need them, those posting are usually the only ones that need to read and follow what they are posting

Know the Leeds youth, I could have asked you the same when you made the claim. If I ask youngsters who inspired them sadly most say Ronaldo or Messi, youth will pick players form their era

How can you say who a best player is, it is too subjective. Pele has been claimed as the best because of three World Cup Medals, the game evolves, the ball changes, players get fitter and better access to technology.

He was probably the best of his time.

I only replied because you claimed he was a Leeds United fand, he wasn't under any stretch of the imagination

I then responded as you said he will inspire Leeds Youth, I can't give you proof he won't but if you wish to believe these two facts I am not going to spend the day trying to change your mind

    Happy New Year <ok>

Pele certainly was that 1970 Brazilian team was brilliant. And the best Brazilian team I have seen play.
