Here is an interesting table which shows the number of seasons clubs have spent in the top flight since 1945 and then takes away the number of seasons they have spent below the top flight and deducts that number. http://www.sportingintelligence.com...edigree-leicester-and-forest-chasing-040801/? Leicester do well out of this way of working things out. Surely Forest and Leeds fans are going to complain that it does not take into account that they have won some pretty impressive trophies in the past. They probably have a point...but not as much of a point as they think they have. While winning the league or a European trophy does add gloss to a club, it's wrong to characterise these clubs by it, which many of their fans do. The only clubs in my opinion who can claim to be characterised by winning the league are Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal, because they have done it often in their history and not just for a very good purple patch. Surely this should shut Bristol City fans up though? In their little bubble they think they are as big a club as Leicester. The states say otherwise.
I wonder what the odds are that the table finishes like that? Apart from Coventry and Derby being in the top half and Reading in the bottom 3 it's very concievable.
