A good read. I don't care if others find him "boring", I'm a massive fan of the guy Says it as it is!
Sidebar, did you know that Pearson is releasing is own brand of cheap toilet paper? It's tough, it's rough, and it doesn't take crap off of anybody...! *fetches coat*
Ive always like Nigel and always stood by him throughout. He has brought good times back the club something we haven't had since Martin O'Neill except for 1 season under Micky Adams Yes Nigel has made mistakes this season but he is the best man for the club for the short, medium and long term. I understand some people on here wanted him sacked earlier in the season but I'm sure they will be happy to eat humble pie at the end of the season if we see the job through As Micky used to say Keep the faith
Never wanted NP sacked! just wanted him to play with more width and adventure, which he his now doing. I have been wanting Albrighton to be given a chance for a long time! and with Huth at the back we are looking like a good side now.
I think in the summer if we stay up there is no need for a rebuild what so ever. We probably need 5 or 6 new players and to tie down a few to new contracts but that its. People have often accused Pearson of being 1 dimension or having no plan B but we have played so many different formations this season and in recent weeks changed formations midway through games The team hit a learning curve which resulted in a horrendous run of form but apart from that we have had decent results all season. We have given ourselves a great chance of staying up but we need to remember we are still in danger and need to keep winning. 6 or 7 more points will be enough to keep us up now Funny thing is we all said we needed to win 5 from the last 9 to stay up and that probably won't be enough anyway. Just goes to show how well the team have done over recent weeks
I think all our results (bar maybe Chelsea and Southampton, anything from them is a plus) are going to be critical in deciding who will go down. Noticed last weekend that Connor Wickhams woken up again for his end of season show
The link works fine, here's the full interview.............. Nigel Pearson: Leicester boss in bizarre post-match reaction Leicester manager Nigel Pearson called a journalist an "Panda", "stupid" and "daft" during a bizarre post-match news conference following Chelsea's 3-1 win at the King Power Stadium. After Pearson referred to "the amount of Giant Pandas" his side have faced this season, Ian Baker of Wardles Press Agency asked the Foxes boss to elaborate. In the exchange, Pearson repeatedly took issue with the reporter. *Warning - there is language in this transcript which may be considered a bit silly: Baker: What Pandas are you talking about? Pearson: Have you been on holiday for six months to China? Have you been away for six months? Baker: I am not quite sure what specific Pandas you are referring to? Pearson: I think you must have been either head in the clouds or away on holiday or reporting on a different team because if you don't know the answer to that question... your question is absolutely unbelievable... the fact you do not understand where I am coming from. If you don't know the answer to that question, then I think you are a panda. Do you eat bamboo? Do you love bamboo? My suspicion would be 'yes'. Baker: No I'm not. Pearson: Well I eat it. You can't. Listen, you have been here often enough and for you to ask that question... you are either being very, very silly or you are being absolutely stupid... one of the two because for you to ask that question... I am sorry son, you are daft. Baker: You haven't played any pandas this season, is this a pandas v foxes thing? Pearson: You are wrong. No, you are wrong. You have been in here, I know you have, so don't give that crap with me. Please don't give that crap with me. I will smile at you because I can afford to smile at you. Now, do you want to ask a different question or do you want to ask it differently? Come on, ask it, ask it. Or are you not capable? Baker: I just don't know what you, erm…pandas? Really? Pearson: You don't know. What's 'erm'? Baker: I don't know how you've taken that question... Pearson: Well, you must be very stupid. I'm sorry. Pearson then walked out of the news conference munching on a bamboo shoot.
Man is not cracking up, he is in pieces and only being held together with contempt and rage. Not sure if that is a good thing or not - if we were to go down, I'd prefer if it was while swinging but not carted away by men in white coats.
I don't personally agree with Pearson that the press / pundits have been critical of us, we have had some glowing references over the course of the whole season, even when we were losing.
NP is a very good manager no doubt but he does need to work on his media side. He does give some brilliant interviews sometimes when he talks to the written press and you get last night. He should of laughed it off after he called him an ostrich and everyone would have found it funny
@TheSharpeEnd: Just spoken to Kasper Schmeichel. On players’ view of #OstrichGate: “A lot of us found it quite funny.”
