Other candidates are Houghton (Brum), Adkins (Southampton) and Freedman (Palace)

Winner is picked at 10 am tomorrow.

Oh dear. I reckon Houghton will snatch it, hope he does too. Last things we need is the manager of the month curse, and who better to get it than closely-tailing Birmingham?

Hard decision that one, Hughtons got Brum on a great run. Palace are having a great season for them after a few dour ones and Adkins looks like he can do no wrong. Not forgetting our Nigel of course with some great results. I wouldn't like to have to make that decision.

Anyone but NP please. Its a curse and one that City dont need. I would choose Dougie Freedman as he is doing a great job @ the Palace. Turning relegation club into a half decent one that currently occupies the top 6.

If he does then it just shows what a joke award it had become.

Because it used to be an award for the job a manager has done that month. Look at what Dougie Freedman is doing @ Palace. Chris Hughton is proven at this level and Birmingham still have good players. Most of us thought that Palace would struggle again this season but they have had another good month this october and are having a good season so far,

Based on results it should go to Freedman @ Palace. From 6 games he has had 4 wins and 2 draws and one was the 2-0 carling cup win over Southampton. Plus they have kept 5 clean sheets in those 6 games. NP is close from 3 wins and a draw from 4 games.

Agreed. I made this point on last month's 'Manager of the month' thread. Basically for the award to recognise the job a manager has done, and not just be turned inton 'Team of the month' it should take into consideration the resources available to the manager. In this example Freedman has a way harder job at Palace than either of the other nominees. (Though I do suspect Palace are cheating in some way, they can't legally be that high)

Thank god for that! Though in fairness what does NP have to do to get it? If you look at our record for October it's pretty solid!
