I’m seeing loads of activity on Twitter saying Pearson has been sacked. Nothing confirmed but plenty of strong rumours. Now just confirmed by Adam Leventhal. Talk about rolling the dice.

Even if the rumours of squad unhappiness are true, it seems daft

Time for Troy to step up as player coach?

No-one in their right mind would take the job on in the current situation - unless his name is Flores I suppose.

    Well, well, well.

If true there can only be one explanation. A big fallout and he wasn't going to stay on either in Champ or Prem so they axed him. He wouldn't have walked so close to getting his goal. Make you wonder about some of the dodgy performances and why now. Thought there was more unity.

The media will have a field day, and rightly so.

Who in their ringt mind, would manage us now?

Time for Duxbury or GP himself to get on the blower to bt/bbc whoever and either deny or confirm. This all just gives added impetus to muff and villa.

    Talk about a FFS moment!

So, our players don't perform for 3 consecutive managers and it is, apparently, all the managers fault. You can hire one cox after another but if there is a hole in your boat then you're not going anywhere.

We will be the laughing stock of the football world. If we go down and it looks inevitable given performances since the restart, all that had to happen is a statement saying that both parties could not reach agreement going forward. To sack them now, unless Villa are lining up Pearson for next season is pure stupidity.

I was thinking the same thing. Is it the players or how we acquire players?

It could be a cunning plan when we get a new manager we usually win a few games!

I would settle for a draw against either two teams we have to play.

He must have done something wrong surely or had a row.

I mean if you didn't want to keep him just not renew the contract.
