think you need to look over the facts - Brucie told him he was surplus to requirements - he was loaned out to Forest - and then sold - then he played his lad instead - Hobbs is different class to Junior and was a rock with Chester at the back - a back three of Davies Hobbs and Chester would have been significantly better than suffering Junior all last season - we had Faye and Macca as cover - there's only one reason Hobbs was pushed out and that was because Brucie wanted to give his lad a highly paid job
You seem to missing the fact that Hobbs didn't want to be the odd one out when we played 4 at the back. Bruce was happy with that role and Hobbs wasn't.
Bruce is about the same as Hobbs. Whatever the difference in ability, to suggest Hobbs is different class,is laughable. In fact i'd say Bruce would get the nod.
don't be stupid - Junior was fifth choice behind Faye and Macca- that's why theres been constant problems in the dressing room because his dad keeps picking him ahead of better players - its actually laughable that you think an uncultured hoofball journeyman who has been loaned out constantly throughout his career is even worthy of a Hull City shirt
Bollocks ! Bruce has been excellent this season and last. Who are you to say he was fifth choice ? Surely that's a decision for the manager/coaching staff ? Uncultured hoofball ? We were lucky if Hobbs would keep the ball in play,never mind find a team mate, his distribution was shocking. He was a good defender, but then so is Bruce. Oh and Bruce has shown this in the Premier league, not div 2 !
Junior is garbage and predictable - there's only three aspects to his game - hoof it - pass sideways or pass to the opposition - he doesn't do creativity, he doesn't do keeping in position and he doesn't do marking his marker which is why he constantly has to dive into tackles, some of which come off and some of which make him look stupid - as soon as Brucie goes he wont get another game in the Prem and that's a fact
We were comparing Hobbs to Bruce,nothing more. Bruce more than shades it. What do you remember of Hobbs distribution ?
Hobbs is a good Championship player, but I thought we were right to let him go when we went up and I still do.
it was good enough to get us promotion and good enough to see some great football in the Championship - I don't class Bruce's hoofball as distribution - you maybe happy with the constant sideways passing he does along the back line leaving the distribution to his colleagues - I expect something better - at least Faye and / or Macca would move the ball forward and pass to our own players,-as far as Hobbs was concerned, he was automatic choice with Chester and they were both excellent at the back which is why we got promoted
Dougie Freedman has been appointed the new Forest boss, this one was obviously done and dusted before Pearce did one.
